I dont understand why everyone is leaving Connally out of all these proportions. Connally is really good. They've been doing great so far this year. In 2007 they won 2nd in state. Yeah, there not suppose to compare to the past, but this year is a better year.

I just think that everybody is speculating about all these underdogs/new bands and it's really exciting. =]

Well I'm glad your school is doing well, but don't go whining about how others can't see this. Just prove it on the field. Go to area and be one of the bands who advances. Then you'll get some talk.

I preferred your show over Hays.

Connally and Hendrickson really are pretty evenly matched. Wouldn't mine seeing on of them sent to state over Lake Travis/Dripping Springs.

I'm not going to slam your opinion but I am going to ask why you wouldn't want to see dripping springs advance to state?...their show is fantastic

 

Back to the subject, I think Connally has just as much of a shot as any other school this Saturday, they have to be spot on, though in order to keep up with Cedar Park, Vandegrift, and Dripping Springs!

I think Dripping Spring is better than Lake Travis, sure. But I haven't seen it in person.

I haven't really seen many of the bands up IN person. I've watched Connally, Hendrickson, Hays, Dripping Spring, Vista Ridge and McCallum on YouTube but I've seen Cedar Park, Lake Travis and Vandegrift in person.

 

I am going to go out on a limb and say that I lost some of the effect without bring in the audience?

Definitely think you lose something by not being in the audience no matter whose program you are evaluating. Having seen all of the shows listed above live except Cedar Park, I do not envy the judges at area. The bands have such different strengths that, as always, it will depend upon the judges' personal preferences. What a great day it will be for those of us fortunate enough to watch as the bands in this area showcase their hard work and talent!

It's really a loss not seeing CP in person, they have an incredible sound.

Thanks. Coming from the Dad of one of those trumpet players and the guy who uploads a lot of that video that means a lot. I think the Round Rock show is outstanding this year as well and thought you guys should have finished much higher at Vista Ridge.
