Can I be there first to say on the forums that having the live streaming video on txbands live is blowing my mind. Great job admins, you just keep making this site better and better.

Oh and a shout out to Yamaha for providing the funds to have the video in the first place.

What about centennial? Do you guys think they have a chance of winning!?!

I've been watching all day and I still have them in 2nd. Who knows!

Let Prelim score Mayhem begin!!!!!!!

I am DYING to see them. I'm sure scoring was all over the place. This was a tough contest to call, though I somehow got 9/10 of the finalists right (Wakeland possibly fell victim to their super early performance time for me in favor of Newman Smith. I did have Wakeland 12th though!)

I have hit refresh every 2sec since they called the finalist waiting on them

Yeah you were pretty much right on point, what's interesting is that all the bands that I expected to make it did. There were really no surprises in my mind. Let's see what kind of shakeup we get in finals because I think its going to be wide open.

A source from inside the CP band told me that they got straight 1st ratings. I cannot confirm this personally, but I very much trust this source

This wouldn't surprise me one bit. I don't think anyone really touched them today.

I believe that, what an incredible performance by Cedar Park building on an incredible performance on Saturday at BOA. They are by far the band to beat in my non-professional opinion. Still I wouldn't count Centennial, Dripping Springs and Friendswood out right yet.

wouldn't count any of them out, Prelims and Finals are like 2 different contest, and 1 slip up could cost you

I would also be surprised if those bands did not round out the top 4 in some order. Hopefully we'll find out soon!

The finals bands seemed to be pretty predictable. The Area D bands, the Area F bands, Waxahachie and the top Area B bands. What's not so predictable is what's gonna happen in this mess of a finals. Should be the best 4A state finals EVER, hands down.

I would be pretty amazed if CP got straight 1's in this thing, but I guess we'll find out soon enough.

On a side note, what is with CP and their terrible draws this year? Guess it's not slowing them down much

I agree with all of the above posts. Regardless of Prelims scores, Finals is gonna be crazy. So many good bands, one after the other. Wish I could be there, but the livestream is awesome too!

UPDATE FROM SOURCE:

Prelims placements:

1. Cedar Park

2. Dripping Springs

3. Wake land

4. Vandegrift

Again, this is unconfirmed, but I trust the source

Edit: SORRY! 4th is Vandy, not LT

I know that Cedar Park is gonna be tough to beat, but Dripping Springs did it at Area. I wouldn't put them in the untouchable category just yet.

Oh man oh man I'm so excited for finals. I'm sure all the bands will be great! This has been my first time at the dome. I say good luck to all the area D bands, they're all so good its hard to say who will win!
