Here are the 2012 results that we have so far. Most of the rest of these contests are being held this Saturday on 10/20/2012 but some are as late as Tuesday 10/23/2012. I will update this post as results come in.

The bands that get Division-I ratings are eligible to attend the Area contests and the number of bands at an individual Area contest is what determines the number of bands that advance from that Area to State. 1 band advances to State for every 5 bands that compete at an Area (with a minimum of 2 bands advancing to State).

Bands that receive a Division-I rating aren't required to attend the Area competition, so the number of Division-I ratings in an area is only indicative of the maximum number of bands that can attend the Area level. There are some (particularly Military style) that do not attend the Area level, so even if there were 20 bands in an Area that got Division-I ratings, there might only be 19 bands that actually compete at Area and so only 3 bands would advance to State instead of 4.

Well for those who want to make the predictions on 5A Area C, here you go... It will be updated as late as 12pm Monday..... http://www.uilregion3music.net/AREA%20MARC...INFORMATION.htm

Just to clarify, the schedule that is currently posted contains ALL 5A bands as it was created before the Region contests were held. Those that didn't receive a Division-I will be deleted from the list and the official schedule posted on Monday.

Below that is the official link on that page, when it's updated..... down the page is where the link will be when it gets posted

I believe all of Area A is finished, and if so I'll leave that to our lone Area A man to do that one.... Well I'm off to search for the schedules for 3A, those should be fun to locate and then pick who will advance

For those wanting 5A/3A Area A/B here you go..... http://www.uilforms.com/regions/2/AREA%20M...archingInfo.htm

Needs to be updated first

I'm getting all this off of http://www.uiltexas.org/music/marching-band/area. If you want to know where to look, you'll have to do a little looking on each page to find the schedules...Keep in mind most of these wont be ready until Tuesday night, or even Wednesday

I really appreciated the joke on the live feed about Area G having about 200 bands advancing. :P Although it is just a bit of an exaggeration, it's not far from the truth in the sense that we do send way more bands to area, and thus, state, than anyone else. It'll be interesting to see if all the bands that received 1's will decide to compete at area.

In total, 42 bands are advancing to the Area G competition in Laredo. Wow. Only 4 bands got knocked out overall. Gonna be a big competition!
