rcb05 Posted October 25, 2012 Posted October 25, 2012 Full schedule link and participating bands listed below. Top four advancing to state. Predictions? http://www.uilregion3music.net/2012%20Area...%28FINAL%29.pdf MacArthur Garland Naaman Forest Coppell Rockwall Heath Lake Highlands Rowlett JJ Pearce North Mesquite Berkner Lakeview Centennial Sachse Robert E. Lee Richardson Duncanville Mesquite Midlothian Cedar Hill DeSoto South Grand Prairie Sunset John Horn Duncanville/Coppell/Berkner is a pretty clear cut top three IMO, but there are several bands that could compete for that last spot. I've heard good things about N Mesquite, Garland, Rowlett and Sachse. Quote
TxRaider13 Posted October 25, 2012 Posted October 25, 2012 I had Duncanville, Coppell, Berkner and North Mesquite advancing and rounding out finals I had Rowlett, Garland, Sachse, Midlothian, Lake Highlands and I believe I rolled with Naaman Forest as my 10th... I don't remember but either them or JJ Pearce Quote

I don't remember but either them or JJ Pearce I agree with most of your predictions, however, I don't think Garland will be in the top 10. Instead, I'd replace them with either Lakeview Centennial or possibly Pearce. Here is how I see the order being: Duncanville Coppell Berkner Rowlett N. Mesquite Lake Highlands Midlothian Naaman Forest Sachse JJ Pearce Sachse is down quite a bit from previous years. JJ Pearce is jumpin into the 5A waters again and the last time they were 5A, they struggled to make 1st divisions. Quote

Unfortunately, I can't make out the individual marks on this phone scan I have, but the ranking was: 1. Berkner 2. Rowlett 3. Coppell 4. Duncanville 5. North Mesquite 6. Midlothian 7. J. J. Pearce 8. Sachse 9. Lakeview Centennial 10. John Horn Looks like Berkner and Rowlett tied for 1st with 11 rank points each and Coppell was only one rank point away. Big gap between Duncanville and North Mesquite - looks like 16 and 27 rank points respectively, but again, I don't have the best scan. For kicks and grins, here's how prelims went down: 1. Duncanville 2. Berkner 3. Rowlett 4. Coppell 5. North Mesquite 6. J. J. Pearce 7. Midlothian 8. Sachse 9. John Horn 10. Lakeview Centennial 11. Richardson 12. Garland 13. Mesquite 14. Lake Highlands 15. Robert E. Lee 16. Naaman Forest 17. South Grand Prairie 18. Rockwall Heath 19. Cedar Hill 20. MacArthur 21. DeSoto 22. Sunset Edited October 29, 2012 by Donezo Quote

I'm trying to strain my eyes and make out the individual ordinals, but it is sadly not happening. Hopefully the Region 3 website will post them tomorrow. Quote

The prelims rankings are what I would expect for finals.... Little shocked at the jumping around in finals Quote
takigan Posted October 30, 2012 Posted October 30, 2012 The UIL sites don't keep these links forever. Posting them here for archive purposes: Quote
