For WW, English horn and bari sax, and basson when played right. If the reeds too bright...>_<

I love f horn, and flugel horn, and euph in the brass.

Chimes, and timp for percussion.

Cello for strings.

Yamaha is a great brand if you buy the right horn, such as a YBB-321 tuba may not be the best choice for a concert tuba, but a YF-101(I think) is a GREAT F tuba.

and don't get me started on the quality of their contras, it's phenomenal.

speaking of gawdy trumpets... http://www.harrelsontrumpets.com/satellite1.htm

That's what i'm talking about...even though the trombone itself isn't that color...

But soundwise, i like the Trombone sound, it can be goofy, soft, fierce, or smooth and fits in right where it is.

But, because i'm biased on that, i'll say Euphonium is my second favorite because it's perfect in marches and can have a bouncy sounding melody to it.

I dont really like the trumpet, because the players in my band have shrill sounds, and i dont really care much for the clarinet *sorry guys* because too many people play it and i can hardly hear them (even though there are more than ten people playing)

if you think a mellophone sounds like a dying moose, try listening to a beginner playing the tuba

*salutes*

Doesn't everyone sound like a dying moose as a beginner?

I did.

It was a long ladder to climb.

One that took 5 years.

Yeah, I remember your sound sounded muffled. Remember how I gave you those scale patterns to work on?
