Xenon Posted October 29, 2013 Posted October 29, 2013 A timing issue can show up in more than just the music, it can show up as horrible phasing and out of tempo or out of step marching. Timing issues are the most insidious of all transient issues. Quote
Bandlover Posted October 29, 2013 Author Posted October 29, 2013 The marching judges in finals stated that DS was very clean, but that was due to their sets being to easy, so they marked them much lower. Not sure how that works, I don't know what judges look for in those areas Quote

Westandalone Posted October 29, 2013 Posted October 29, 2013 As a senior, I really am sad to ses Dripping Springs not make it to state. My band has competed with their band numerous times, and I loved the competition their school brought onto the table. Dawson vs. Dripping Springs...always envisioned it always hoping to see them at a contest. I hope all the students are proud of their hardwork cause after all that's what its about, performing a great show for thousands to see, and they definitely do that to a high level, regardless of placement. they should be filled with pride, at the upmost level, as they are just as good if not better than other bands. Just goes to show how difficult this area is, and how crazy state is going to be. I cannot wait to perform, and be able to represent not only my band, but the morals that all these great bands encompass Let the competition commence! paulineoy1 1 Quote
