In fact, Doc, our band director, used him as an analogy on how to give out strait controlled air. He was like.. That guy was one of the best natural runners I know. I want you to blow air just as natural as him. It was funny. Quote

lionbc Posted January 15, 2007 Posted January 15, 2007 You know what, I'm gonna mess up the flow of things here and go back to what was being talked about earlier. Funny games. Well, every band plays hey baby right? Well, one of the first games this season I got up and went over to one of our saxophone or clarinets (I've done this so many times I forget who was first, it hasn't been as funny since that first time) and got down on my knee like I was proposing to her and sang hey baby. She was a little embarassed, but thought it was hilarious, as did some of the people around her. That's my little thing now, I "propose" to people during Hey Baby. Speaking of which, do you guys have anything you do during hey baby (like when you're singing, if you guys even do the singing part...) Quote
bbcheez Posted January 16, 2007 Posted January 16, 2007 our band doesn't play the song but everytime the other band starts playing it we sing. it's quite fun to sit behind the trumpets and see them rowing across the stands using their trumpets as oars. Quote

A fellow clarinet player who likes to tell war stories and I sit put our arms around random people and sing to them. But if we want to be bigger dorks, we just stand at set during the stand tune. :-p Quote

Oh my word...how can you guys not play that song?!?!?! That's inhumane! As for the trumpets, gotta love 'em (I don't really get to see ours because the drumline is behind the basses-my section-and infront of the trumpets...) Quote
