SDO99 Posted November 5, 2005 Posted November 5, 2005 Being the manager, I have experienced many dumb people. I have heard questions such as "Should I bring my water bottle to practice?" and "Do I need my uniform at the football game?" But last night was crazy. So we're at a football game and some freshman tuba on the very top row of the stands drops his mouthpiece and lead pipe all the way down to the concrete below. I go down to look for it and see these little kids playing under the stands. I ask them if they've been there for awhile and if they've seen anything fall. One kid says "No" while rubbing his pocket and looking every where but at me. The other kid nudges him and says "Just give it to her" So he pulls out the mouthpiece and asks me what instrument I play. I say tuba and he says "good job that's what it is" and hands it to me. I start to walk away and hear the kids laugh. I go back and get the lead pipe that they wanted to keep. I hate kids. Quote

LeanderBass5 Posted November 6, 2005 Posted November 6, 2005 yeah so pretty much, We were cadencing back to the band hall but we were visitor's at our school stadium, so we had to march through the Cedar Park crowd. So as we were going through them, a big, not to be racist, black guy with a du-rag spits on me. As I look at him, POOOOFFFF!!!!! Huge random step that everyone stumbles on but me. You know what I do? I freaking fall!!! and as I'm falling, my bass drum hits the ground and goes straight into my face, busting my nose. So I was bleeding everywhere, and the group of black kids and not to mention my own bandsmen, TRAMPLE ME!!!! So my friend Austin carries my drum back and I go and clean myself up. I was not hurt very bad though. Everyone was amazed how I was so unreactive about it. The first thing I checked before myself was my drum. lol. So a busted nose, cut-up knees, and a big bruise on arm for Greg. Quote
thesnareguy Posted November 6, 2005 Posted November 6, 2005 lol. that happened to the bass 5 last year. execept he fell over a sousaphone. Quote
mnkyman Posted November 6, 2005 Posted November 6, 2005 a tenor fell last year in a half time performance..and his drum fell into him..(as he fell backwards) and knocked out his 2 front teeth Quote
whit06 Posted November 7, 2005 Posted November 7, 2005 Oh gosh, Greg, I didn't hear about that! But that might have been because I was entertaining myself with all the people from CP going "WHO WON? WHO WON?" And I would just look at them and go, "Who won district? Who is going to playoffs?" But that really sucks. Quote

What's with people at games? Our principle had to drive in a golf-cart to allow us to get out of the stadium because the kids from Stony Point were so hostile. It was crazy. We too were on visitors side of our stadium. Now, play-offs. Bleh. Quote

But that really sucks. It was all Coach's fault. He thought it was a blow-off game so he saved most of the starters for playoffs. Bad idea... And I loved how CP had the nerve to call Bible their home. I was like, "Who's the one going to the visitor locker room? huh?" Quote

I wouldn't worry about it too much. I am sure there are several people from several schools who give the school a bad name. I know this sounds mean.. But they need to poo on themselves!! Quote
