this years seniors werent too bad, i couldnt stand some senior section leaders tho cuz their section could be really disruptive and wouldnt pay attention and they wouldnt do anything. the juniors were horrible they think theyre better then everyone but some couldnt even march backwards right or march in step and they caused most the drama, the sophmores were purdy bad but its cuz our class like doubles anyother classes so ya and the freshman ehh they were aight

Our band was super dedicated two years. I really can't think of a single person who was not supportive and dedicated. I was a freshman then. Then last year with those seniors it was the exact opposite; they were so negative and unsupportive. That really pissed me off big time. I couldn't wait till they graduated. It shows in the show too.

This year is like a GOLD MINE of dedication, he he. The freshman are so awesome. I know a lot of bands hate their freshman, but this year, they kick arse. The seniors are great examples, their attitudes are great. Sophomores and my class are awesome too; I couldn't ask for a better year this year.

Assssssss a matter of factttttttttt, I think even the guard was for the most part drama free this year  Don't see that too much, haha

Ahhhhh the positive energy. ^_^

Dedication this year was so much better.

Many people made Region band this year.

And almost everyone is going to Solo and Ensemble.

I can only imagine how next year's marching season is going to be my last. Ughhh, I do know it better be my best. =]] When I'm a Rank Leander an all..

Our worth ethic was soo good this year. It was impressive.

That happened my freshman year with...SENSEMAYA...*shudder*

We have a more positive outlook since our shows have been better, but dedication...I dunno. We definately have focus issues, but not so much dedication. We have alot of complainers, and if you walked in on a particularly taxing practice you would think our band was gonna fall apart, but almost all are just talk. Then when we have a good performance or win a competition, suddenly everyone loves band again. Then on Monday we have a great practice, but Tues we go back to normal. It's a never ending cycle, but it's slowly getting better. Hopefully next year will be AWESOME!!! B)

OMG, I remember that show. Uuuh, that was terrible.

However, last years show was pretty amazing. I loved y'alls sound.

I'm looking forward to this year's marching season. =]]

But it will be my last... :(

The best thing I wish for yall is that you don't have a mediocre show concept your senior year.

Ah, we never do. Our band director won't allow that.

Especially with our Drumline..

I felt sorry for the seniors Sensemaya year. That show sucked. I love the individual music (except for the fact that I went back and forth between two notes for 80 some-odd mesures in the first piece), but the show didn't flow. Last year was better, but our jazzy piece was ruined by how slow and uneventful the following piece was. This year was great in my opinion, we ended my last UIL year the best way possible (better than Sensemaya, which we got 2nd alternate with).

I don't know how we even did that well with Sensemaya. We need to stay with very traditional music. That's who Leander is. I loved RR show this year, btw. Definately in my top 5. There are rumors of what our show is next year but I wouldn't want to get ahead of myself there...

Yeah, I loved y'alls show too. Yours was the only show besides Reagan I saw at Finals on Area.

You def. deserved the place y'all got.

However, we were disappointed because we wanted that, but it was our best show none the less. I wish we had a dvd so I can see our show again. Uugh.

Anyone care to give me a copy of the show if they have the UIL dvd?

What was yall's music called? I'd really like to find the concert version of RR and Bowie's. I wanted CP's too, but apparently I have excerpts from Symph 10 on my mp3 player and I didn't even know it.:rolleyes:

Our band (Southwest from Fort Worth) did and still does but it's getting a lot better. I think people are putting in more effort because we're tired of missing things by one. We missed going to State last year by one and we missed DMI Finals by one. It kind of gets annoying after a while.

With Leander on the rise again and our shows getting better and better each year the moral of the band seems to get better. More people look forward to marching season and the successes that come with it. Not necessarily bringing home the trophies but milestones for our band program like our first BOA finals in 5 or so years. I'm really excited about this coming year. It looks like it is going to be a good one. :]
