Just to keep everyone informed of whats coming up sometime soon...

 

Expect these before the end of 2005:

 

1. shop@TxB

We are actually really close to having this done. Band-themed apparel, coffee mugs, mouse pads? You name it, it will be available. Were just working out the little details.

 

2. Media Library Enhancements

I am developing something that will allow you to export the entire media library to iTunes. You'll be able to watch and listen to your favorite band right from iTunes, without launching the media library.

For next season:

 

3. Fantasy Marching Band

Kind of like Fantasy football, but band-style. Look for it next year, assuming we can make it work!

 

4. Updated Predictions System

Revamps to the predictions will make it so users can't duplicate groups, and must enter all fields to predict. More prediction opportunities.

 

Also, to seperate the scores, everything will be inflated. More on that to come in May/June when DCI starts.

 

5. News, Articles, and Rant Sections, as well as a *possible* blog for clarinot and dynasty to complain about life.

When everything is set-up, be on the look out for a new feature called.....

"TXBands.com Show of the Week"

 

I will highlight a Texas marching band show and explain what the show was about, the musical selections used, the success that the band received that year, commentary from band directors and students that were involved, and an mp3/video of our, "Show of the Week."

If you want I can start making a rough draft of what a Fantasy Marching Band requirements and etc. What is a rough plan:

 

Executive Committe (5) (Those people will make the finally decision on everything)

 

Moderators( 2) (We would need a separate forum for this and have people moderator it)
