I think our sax's are some of the best players in our band. Im one of the only 2 alto's the last half of football season and were pretty much the only one with the middle part well us and 1 mello player. Then we have 1 tenor sax who usualy caries the trombone/bari part cus our low brass players are realy young. Then we have 1 Bari sax and when him and our tuba player player play together its awesome.

we have 14 marching, 12 in concert season (altos), have 4 baris and 4 tenors. At band camp early on, the saxes were the only section who marched 32 counts in a complete straight line. 1 senior is leaving and we get 10 freshmen next year, so that will be 23  wow...didnt realize that, so our sax group is young and good also, no sucky players and one of the strongest sections of marching and concert, so that says it all

We have about I am guessing 20 saxs. They are all relatively good. Most of them are our "class clowns". That's because they are all seniours.. Then again, they acted like that last year.

saxes are probably the top section in my marching band. we have three seniors who are all leaders and one of them (me!) is horn sergeant. playing wise, the top of the section is always extremely close in playing skill. from what my lesson teacher tells me, our fifth and sixth chair kids could go to the other school he teaches at and place among the top of the other section. my friend and i have been toying about the idea of an all hebron sax sweep at region. we had an almost sweep two years ago when we took three of the four chairs.

We had 19 altos and 4 tenors. I was one of two rank leaders for the section. We ended up marching 16 altos and 3 tenors and our band marches about 180. In concert season we have 12 altos, 3 tenors, and 2 baris. Next year we predict to have a band that is 210 total, with about 24 altos and 6 tenors. We will probably march 20 altos and 4 tenors.

wow my band must be small we have about 4 altos 3 tenors and 1 bari lol but size isnt everything :D

We just have one (me). It feels pointless though, cause you don't hear me over our 3 really loud mellos.

Lesse...We have 14 or so altos, 2 tenors and 1 bari...But let me tell you kids...

Our woodwinds, at set (some call it carry), hold their horns at the same height as the brass players. So, imagine if you will, a baritone player holding his horn so that his hands are at eye level. Now, substitute the baritone with a bari sax so that the neckstrap ring rests on his right thumb.

It's pretyy badass. Hard, too - it weighs about 13 1/2 lb ( about 3 lb heavier than a baritone).
