Jellyfishes Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 Any thoughts? I'm predicting Kellet, Marcus, and FloMo take top three with a sizeable gap after that. Jellyfishes 1 Quote

LKendrick Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 Wow, go FloMo. Care to elaborate on Flower Mound? Was super impressed with the video I saw a few weeks ago. Interested in what their show is about. Quote

There are egg shaped props that can be split in half to reveal band or guard members. Musically, they are breathtaking. Woodwinds have a lot of color. Brass is powerful yet beautiful. Marching isn't perfect, but great for early on. But that is expected, too. I noticed the show shirts have a cherry on them, and in the show one of the guards flags has an apple on it, which puzzles me a little. And also, the guard is awesome sauce. Quote

Looks like the show is based on surrealism artwork by Rene Magritte. On their band Facebook page they have posted various pictures of artwork containing images you are talking about. Son of Man has the Apple. False Mirror and Future of Statues has the clouds. Kind of in the same vein of last year, was environmental art last year, Surrealism this year. NTXBandFan 1 Quote

If you look at the show shirt more closely it's actually an apple. I think the coloring is a little off. Quote
