2015 BOA Austin and McAllen

Unfortunately, we are having account related problems at CoverItLive, so we have gone to Plan-B which is 24liveblog. We'll see how this goes, but it is different from what we are all used to (you and us).

 

The comments work differently, so I wanted to start this thread as an alternative way of getting user comments. So comment away!

Just want to get it out there, O'Connor HS was experiencing some bus difficulties this morning, but they just left for McAllen and will be performing at or near the end of Prelims, not at their scheduled 1:30 time. Gotta love buses

What's the status on the weather break in McAllen?

Tentative schedule in McAllen - last six bands perform starting at 7pm.  No finals.  Awards at 9:40pm.

 

Update - McAllen pushed back another 1/2 hour.   Field too wet.

Just a correction on the Westwood show, the classical guitar on the ballad wasn't a synth.

 

BOA prelims were awesome.  That moment when Vandegrift hit during Mars just had chills running up and down my spine.  Incredible bands all day long.

I was convinced it wasn't a synth. But I was leaning in my seat straining my eyes trying to find the guitar player and I couldn't find them, so I just assumed it was coming from the synth.

I am sitting here enjoying the band's but find it unfair that some parents cannot follow the rules, two parents from Bowie recorded the performance on their phones

Probably going to see a whole lot more of this, since we can't get videos anymore.......sad.

Very proud of ALL parents who support their kids and these wonderful bands that ALL work very hard and deserve all the positivity in the world. Thank you BOA for giving the platform. Congrats to everyone!

She's not the tallest person in the world.  Sitting in front of the Drumline, stage right.  I LOVE classical guitar, thought it was a nice addition to the ballad.
