whitewing09 Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 When I saw that preseason Reagan video on YouTube a month ago, it was obvious that Reagan's show had that Guidry flair with its enthralling electronic opening coupled with a powerful fanfare. I hadn't known about the director change and this show seemed different, but promising. We just saw Reagan give CTJ a run for its money in prelims and overtake them in finals at Conroe. Yet nine years ago (when Reagan last won a regional) we saw a similar situation where Westfield wins GE and takes second place to Reagan after a year of bottom half placements in regional finals. They then go on to place at the bottom of BOA SA finals. For those of you who have seen Reagan, where do you think they fall? Is Reagan just that far ahead of everyone in terms of completeness or does its show have a lot of room to grow? Quote
782SA Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 Reagan is extremely good! Not a fluke. Very talented musically. The show is pretty clean at this point. Not as intricate as some of the other shows, but works for them! This was my first time seeing them this year. I expect them to contend for the top spot at BOA San Antonio. Quote
snares Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 Oh man Reagan is good. I personally love their show, one of my favorites of the year if not the favorite. On a completely unrelated note i really like their uniforms (and plooms) I'm just not a fan of green. But I sure hope they're back. I've missed them being in the top and I really think this year might be a year of a high boa finals placement, maybe even a medal Quote
Captain Obvious Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 They just won the Texas Marching Classic in Austin, both prelims and Finals. It was their music scores that set them apart. Very nice show, and you can argue the merits of 80 girls dancing beautifully in sparkly dresses, but it looked stunning. Quote

txbandfan444 Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 Mr. Morrison was the Assistant Director at Reagan from 2010-2015 before taking over. A quick Google search tells me that his dad retired from Prospect in 2006. Quote
