Battery&Brass Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 I'm hearing on pretty good authority that D will postpone (take that FWIW from a random hack on a message board). Quote
Samuel Culper Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 Yes, D has postponed. Mon or Tues - to be announced later. Quote
Robert_Jordan Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 Excellent! Monday - 10% chance of rain. Partly Cloudy. High of 70. Tuesday - 20% chance. Partly cloudy. High of 78. Quote
Robert_Jordan Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 Looks like it's gonna be Sunday... Quote
Sorge Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 Area E just got changed to Wednesday the 28th Quote
Xenon Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 Area F just got cancelled. Initial indications are for it to be on Wednesday the 28th, but that's not official yet. That just leaves Area A, and they will probably be fine since they got this rain earlier in the week. Quote

Yup, came through on Wednesday night, and as I said it was really nasty. 64 and partly cloudy in Odessa tomorrow, should be nice. Seriously though, competitions or not, stay safe everyone! Quote
Robert_Jordan Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 Since the rain is potentially strong through Sunday, the early bands could possibly be getting the shaft... Quote
principalagent Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 All Area D contests are on Sunday - same times and locations. Which makes me curious. Area D contains some of the most religious parts of the state. I'm sure many students would raise an objection to missing services for competition. I wonder how directors are handling that and why the decision was made for Sunday while there's still a chance for rain instead as well of later in the week like other Areas Quote
Samuel Culper Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 Area D will NOT be held on Sunday. They are changing it again. Quote
BandG33k73 Posted October 24, 2015 Posted October 24, 2015 Area A East Zone is now Monday as well. Quote

LKendrick Posted October 24, 2015 Posted October 24, 2015 Here at the Area A 5A Central Zone contest, halfway through. Chilly, slight breeze but better than what's going on south of here for sure. Abilene Cooper the definite standout from the first half, second about to begin. Quote
Robert_Jordan Posted October 24, 2015 Posted October 24, 2015 Area D forecast for Monday is now: High 75 Low 55 10% chance of rain Sunny Should be a good day. About that work schedule though... cough cough, "boss, I'm feeling sick. Think I may not make it in on Monday"... BlackJesus 1 Quote
