There's going to be A LOT of new faces in finals this year.  From last time around:

Two up to 6A, and 3 didn't advance this go around.  At least 5 new faces this year.  Exciting!  Who will they be?

Centennial and Dripping Springs will almost certainly be back in the mix. Still crazy that the previous cycle's 2nd and 3rd place missed last go-round.

Leander, Centennial, and Dripping Springs are my 3 definite picks.   The other 2 are probably more wild card type bands.

My guess is all Area D, top 4 of B and Waxahachie.

I don't know much about any Houston area 5A bands, but I don't feel there are any West Texas or valley threats, at least not to my knowledge.

 

If LISD doesn't sweep it's because Wakeland sneaks into it or Dripping Springs.

Hard to believe a judge ranked Wakeland 10th in Area B finals.  Frisco Centennial and Wakeland should both make state finals and give Area D a run for the for the top spots,

I like your list, though I would probably switch out Birdville with Forney.
