Tailgate88 Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 Howdy band parents, What fundraisers have been the most successful for your band/booster club? Thanks for sharing! Quote
natertater21000 Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 Literally just door to door asking for donations and then putting on a free performance, my band last year made a little over 40,000 off of doing that Quote
NTXBandFan Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 Our best fundraiser is typically working one of the concession stand at the football games. We also sell poinsettias, we've done the mattress sale thing, and march-a-thons too. FloMoParent 1 Quote
Tailgate88 Posted October 29, 2015 Author Posted October 29, 2015 $40k by just asking for donations? Wow. When in the season do you do this? I would think early on it would be hard to perform a show as it would still be under development? Quote
natertater21000 Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 I'm speaking of Leander btw, we do it throughout September and we usually perform the show the week after BOA Austin. A sibling of mine is still in the program and they made a little over 60,000 this year off of the march-a thon donations. However it is worth noting that in a band with over 300 total members if everyone were to only get 100$ (really easy honestly) that's already in the 30,000 range. Quote
dacquiri Posted October 25, 2017 Posted October 25, 2017 We do a Flag Fundraiser, where we have a team of people that will keep American flags for the major holidays & for $40/year, they will put an American Flag in front of your house. Then the next day, they go pick it up. Quote

JFNDOWBFAN Posted September 3, 2024 Posted September 3, 2024 Our students school has done mattress fundraisers before that did well. The online snap does fairly well but if they are similar to the “boosterthon”’type fundraisers that come to elementary schools, they take too much. Quote
