LKendrick Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 I don't think I've ever been so excited for a competition. I cannot wait to see as many of these shows as I can (might have to bring the headphones to work tomorrow). Quote
LKendrick Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 Also, sounds like our friends from Archbishop Alter have arrived today on busses ALL THE WAY from Ohio! Geez, talk about a road trip. Best of luck to them, a class A championship and exhibition would be cool for the little band from up north. Someone on the BOA forum pointed their facebook out, sounds like they're already having a blast. https://www.facebook.com/Alter-High-School-Bands-150913124979961/timeline Parkwoodmom and Xenon 2 Quote

Xenon Posted October 30, 2015 Author Posted October 30, 2015 Word is that nothing is official yet, but most of the 2nd block may not happen due to all the weather, flooding, tornadoes, etc. BOA is trying to contact everyone they can to try and shuffle the schedule around and maybe get some local bands to perform earlier and then push late into the evening for the Austin area bands. principalagent Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 Vandegrift was completely on fire from what I saw on the live stream. I wouldn't have even known they had such a rough and unstable morning. Quote

Nny14 Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 That is correct, we will not be performing tonight. Quote
Xenon Posted October 30, 2015 Author Posted October 30, 2015 Yes, we just got official word from BOA as well that Round Rock has cancelled for Friday. A Saturday performance for RR may or may not happen, that is being worked out right now. Quote

principalagent Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 I wonder how this will affect the DFW bands that go early tomorrow morning? They'll have to drive through Lake 35 tonight or early in the morning and some have hotel reservations. Quote

natertater21000 Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 any word on whether or not the rest of LISD will be able to perform? Quote
Samuel Culper Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 Hard to say. Part of I-35 between Austin and San Antonio is closed due to flooding. What a mess. Quote
