Yes, they're both quite similar. Very interesting and "cerebral" shows visually. I'm not a huge fan for a massive marching band competition, but I can see the appeal as far as WGI goes. For Texas bands sakes, I'd hate to see this be the norm for bands of the future. Give me a huge band, big green grassy field, and massive sound any day! Must be the Texan in me...you know....everything is bigger? jmj 1 Quote

Wouldn't that be something? Oh my word, I can't even imagine the US ever being at the level of that Nishihara band. They are not even human!! Jane D'oh and Marching Observer 2 Quote
Marching Observer Posted November 11, 2017 Posted November 11, 2017 Well heck, just look at the shows that elementary or middle school groups do and what they are able to achieve already! Yes, they do have groups that young. The talent level is just on a different planet! Someday I think it would be really cool to go to their national championship and experience it. dylan123 Posted November 11, 2017 Posted November 11, 2017 So now the question comes up... will Flower Mound or Marcus place higher? I’m thinking Flower Mound. They both brought it today. Wow! Quote

Marcus really owned their show and I hope they keep going in this visual direction because they were able to nail it as well! So different from them but added so much to their talent. Quote

Danpod Posted November 11, 2017 Posted November 11, 2017 Because of how they do the performance order for Finals, we can determine that:Flower Mound, Marcus, and The Woodlands were Top 6 in Semis.Round Rock was somewhere between 12th and 7th Place in Semis. Quote
