Oh my! Flower Mound and Marcus back-to-back = the best half hour of the evening!!! My jaw is on the floor!! Love love love!! Texas! Incredible performances. Chills from both and that Marcus depth of sound is just GORGEOUS! Ah!

i think woodlands is probably gonna be around 6-7. I’m not a judge for a reason though. They see things I don’t on a live stream.

Just watching from the live stream, I don’t think any bands matched the sound quality (tuning and tone) that was put out by flomo and Marcus. Yes BA and Avon were loud, but to me, marcus and flomo sound like they are in an entirely different league of playing.

I’ll be shocked if Avon isn’t in the top 3. I’m not sure they’ll overcome that amazing Carmel visual, but it’ll probably be closer than it was in semis. Unfortunately, that probably means no TX bands in the top 3, but oh well. Carmel, Broken Arrow, and Avon earned it.

We heard similar issues with FloMo mics too. I guess the timing of when it happened masked them.

What an amazing last half of finals!

 

Cool side note: Flower Mound hosted Avon for dinner when Avon was en route to San Antonio.  The bands along with members of Marcus became friends.  Flower Mound, Marcus, and Avon will be next to each other when they break ranks.  Should be a great time.

Most likely to pull a Carmel last year: Avon. Lots of people have them 3rd, but we'll see.

I had the privilege to see these marines live from the sideline this year and boy does this video not give them any justice. If you ever have a chance to see the Marine Drum and Bugle Corps you need to take that opportunity.

I guess it's personal preference, but I like Avon's visual effect much better than Carmel's. And I like BA's this year better than both.
