Dripping Springs got a fourth director this year and I'm extremely excited to see what our new director can offer our band.... She was drum major for Cedar Park for years, and for Crossmen too! so excited for this upcoming season...I hope this show can help us finally get up into the top bands...

I thought Caitlin went to Vandegrift, not Cedar Park.

zvchy, I like your energy. I will watch Hutto. Same for you, Madison Band Man. I love the pride you two have in your groups. Keep posting. I will definitely remember to watch your groups this year and hope for the best! Shoot for the stars!

Thank you!

I really would like to see James Madison come down to lone star preview. They'd be a great addition finals.

So we might be low on budget, because we would probably be doing the Austin mcallen, and SA competitions on top of UIL regions and likely area, and rocket review which we do every year and then either Yamaha cup or texas marching classic. That would be a total of seven competitions, and that would would be the most we have done in a long time if not ever.

By the way, I don't mean to come off as rude at all, I guess it can just be quite frustrating at times when we are widely overlooked, yet we have improved so much recently. The schools around us are amazing beyond belief, and we are doing everything we can to be included in that discussion,

I agree. Hutto has come a long way with their band. Good luck this year :)

Would love to see you guys at TMC :)

I know this may come as a surprise to pretty much all of you reading this, but don't leave Hutto out of the mix. In 2013, Hutto placed 19 of 21 at Area, 2015 they were 13 of 25. That's already a huge improvement. Believe me, as I am a part of the program, we have grown immense amounts since 2015. Our band program is the 3rd largest, including 6A schools, in central Texas, we have finally gotten a good drill writer (The guy who writes for Crossmen and has written for CP and others), we are cutting down the drill, our show concept is quite cool in my opinion, and our staff and leadership team are ready to get us there. Yes I may sound crazy, as you may be thinking "oh it's just Hutto. They've never even made Area Finals or done anything notable", but just mark my words, we're here to make moves this year.

Sorry for pulling up something old, but I feel you guys and New Braunfels REALLY got the short end of the stick this season. Both of you guys didn't make it into finals at TMC, especially New Braunfels? And Hutto placed 16 in Area D prelims? I thought Hutto's show was much more dynamic this year than previous years and really should have made it to finals in Area D. I'm not saying you guys were the greatest thing ever though I am sure you deserved better results.

I kind of feel really bad about Judson this year. We competed really close with them last year and it was so much fun, but this year they just kind of... Fell off. I saw them at their exhibition performance at Rocket Review and it hurt to see the change from last year to this year. I hope they recover next year and have a strong year.

That's interesting. Judson placed second rather easily at the USBands competition in Round Rock last night. They looked pretty good to me. Maybe they pulled it together from when you saw them.

It hurts me inside that my director pulled us out of this contest because I feel confident G-Town would have medaled.

I was disappointed you were not there. I enjoyed your show at area. Good luck at state!

Those results are just wow. I'm pretty sure 8th-5th all had a score of 92 and had such a small gap. I just wish USBands kept up their scores as well as BOA does.
