jmartin1056 Posted November 5, 2017 Posted November 5, 2017 Top 2 - 4 could've gone any number of ways. I think this shows that Avon will be in very good standings next week. Quote
MadisonBandMan1 Posted November 5, 2017 Posted November 5, 2017 They broke the scoring record! They did it! Amazing job CTJ. Much love, much love! Quote

~ME~ Posted November 5, 2017 Posted November 5, 2017 Hebron will forever be the bridesmaids Haha tell me about it! Was kind of hoping that the Hebron finals curse would finally be broken tonight, but I guess the curse continues! HUGE congrats to CTJ for breaking the record and winning such a stacked contest, that is such an amazing accomplishment! And Vandegrift with the strong showing, WOW!! Congrats to them, it was well deserved! Shout out to Avon as well for making the trip down to Texas and providing us with an absolutely stunning performance, I hope you guys enjoyed your time here in Texas and good luck at Grand Nats! I haven't posted anything this season until now, but all I will say is this marching season was amazing to witness. I would say best marching season in the history of Texas marching band, but we all know this is going to get topped in 1-2 years the way things have been going anyways! It's just unbelievable how much things have progressed this past decade. These bands are just performing on a whole different level from what we used to see not even ten years ago. To all the programs that will be making the trip to Grand Nats, good luck!!! Here's to another great season of performances next year! Parkwoodmom and LeanderMomma 2 Quote
Nny14 Posted November 5, 2017 Posted November 5, 2017 Out of finals with a score of 90. Ridiculous. Xenon 1 Quote
Majellan Posted November 5, 2017 Posted November 5, 2017 All things being equal, which they aren’t but fun to speculate anyway. Tarpon Springs won Atlanta with a 92.25, good for 9th place in San Antonio....amazing. Quote
HighSchoolBandNerd212 Posted November 5, 2017 Posted November 5, 2017 Out of finals with a score of 90. Ridiculous. Given that the bands ranked 41st and up in prelims had at least a score of an 80, this is unsurprising. There was some serious score inflation for the scores of the majority of the bands. Quote
LostChoirGuy Posted November 5, 2017 Posted November 5, 2017 Keller barely made it into finals and then ended up 9th. I'm super proud of their performance. But WOW!!! What a showing by CTJ! They totally rocked it and I'm so happy for them. Same goes to Hebron and Vandegrift for medaling! I must say, I was surprised to see FloMo get 6th and Leander 14th. CTJBandPops 1 Quote
Txpharmguy Posted November 5, 2017 Posted November 5, 2017 FloMo's winning score of 93.3 last year would have been good enough for 8th this year #SMH Quote
