They just placed ahead of Cedar Ridge at BOA Atlanta. It’s impossible to say if they would have made finals here.

I have arrived at the Alamodome. Wow. These preliminary results are PERPLEXING, to say the least. To say that Finals is going to be a bloodbath is an understatement.

I’d say the placements/captions are more confusing than the actual group of finalists.

After watching Bowie and Keller I can see them being behind both Hendrickson and Cedar Ridge.

 

My guess is:

So one of the fascinating things is that Cedar Park came out of no where. After a second place finish at Area I don’t think ANYONE saw them getting into the top 7 or winning 3A. While the rest of the results are crazy it says something that Cedar Park is the only 5A Band in finals an they were able to be in the top 7 despite performing 16th in Prelims before every other finialsist.

Also where did Vandy come from! Man is finals going to be absolutely insane.

Just got out of a movie and saw the prelims results. I must say that I was shocked to see Vandegrift 2nd, flomo and Avon out of top 3, Hebron not getting the music caption, and cedar park in top 7.

I had to run off to work, but seeing Hebron in first and Vandegrift in 2nd isn’t particularly surprising given what I saw. No Round Rock or Bell is pretty surprising, as is Cedar Park in the top half over Leander, Reagan, and TWHS — at least based on the reaction here. Avon tops visual. No surprise. They’re probably right outside the top 3 with Flower Mound.
