TRtrumpet Posted December 2, 2005 Posted December 2, 2005 We only march in one parade, and its a local parade in our town every year for the fair. I wish we did more though, there fun. Quote
trumPITplayer Posted December 3, 2005 Posted December 3, 2005 parades are ok....we are doing the battle of flowers parade this yr...i think and we did the rose bowl parade. Quote
Jag Posted December 3, 2005 Posted December 3, 2005 Our school played in 2 parades, the organizers of the second parade only let about half the band march so it wasn't as fun as usual. Quote
Fortisimo Posted December 4, 2005 Posted December 4, 2005 We just marched in the Neiman Marcus Adolphus parade today. It was fairly ****, since we had to have a 6:30 am call time. We also march in the Arlington 4th of July parade every year. Quote

Skippy Posted December 4, 2005 Posted December 4, 2005 I haven't marched a parade since freshman year, and that sucked so much. The Bristol parade on 4th July, 2004, that I marched in with the Crossmen... it was pouring rain, and we were marching in ankle deeps puddles. I've had some abd parade experiences. Quote
TRtrumpet Posted December 14, 2005 Author Posted December 14, 2005 I like them because your pretty much just marching in a sraight line playing *Stand Tunes*. Quote
thesnareguy Posted December 14, 2005 Posted December 14, 2005 we marched in the 86th abc/boscovs parade in philly this past thanksgivin. it was FREEZING. it was worse for me b/c i play snare.(no gloves ) but is was fun. we played incredibles as our feature Quote
DanWeiss Posted December 14, 2005 Posted December 14, 2005 Parades can be fun. There is nothing I like more then marching to drum cadences. My band never did any big ones (like Macy's or the Rose Bowl) because that would have been our band trip, we never had enough money to go on two. I guess that doesn't include trips to Area/State and BOA marching, but they weren't really 'fun chill' trips, more like competition serious trips. So we saved our major trip for concert season. Instead, we participated in the local Thanksgiving Sun Bowl parade, and a 4th of July Parade every other year. Gross heat for that one though. Quote
