Well I guess I'll be the first to reply lol. Hopefully 25 bands make area this year so they can take 5, but my predictions for top 3 would probably be 

1. Frisco Centennial

2. Frisco Wakeland

3. Southwest

I would NOT rule out Lone Star in Frisco or Prosper HS.

I would like to see them as well. I'm sure they could place top 5

There GN bound so the sky is the limit for them. I could definitely see them making state.

I believe for the area that Wakeland, Centennial and Prosper fall into got easier with realignment, right?  I could be wrong but it seems that 2 years ago the competition was more intense.

Yes, two years ago there was a bit more competition in Area B. However, the realignment caused schools like Birdville and Trinity to move areas.

I'm going to say again that Lone Star should not be  underrated.  No, they are not my school, but they have been consistently rising in the ranks.

Don't count out Liberty.

I would never count out Liberty. Longtime fan, and I think they've set the bar for many of the other bands. They also show a lot of class at competitions. I think there are some bands who could follow their example on that also.

It would be really cool to see them sneak into Southlake finals.

I've only seen one of their performances this year. It was without full uniform, etc. but it left me wanting to see more.

I could see all 5 of those bands in state finals. It's going to be a bloodbath this year.

After Southlake, I honestly don't see Lone Star in the top 5. That was brutal.

I was dismissing Prosper since they haven't been real successful prior to last year.  However, when I noticed who their band director is now I see why they won the HEB contest this year. Centennial's show was clean and well executed at ToC but to me the show was kind of meh, I'm hoping the last song that they add will add some spice to an otherwise stale routine.  The weakness of Centennial's show could provide a door  for Prosper, Wakeland wasn't impressive this year to me, but they always seem to come on late in the year so maybe they'll improve.

What do you guys think of Lake Ridge High School? I haven’t seen one of their shows since they went to state in 2013.

They're extremely clean every year, especially by the end of the season. I could see them making state.
