Astros Posted October 21, 2017 Posted October 21, 2017 Cyfalls 11:15 Preliminary performance was unbelievable! Insanely high energy. The sound resonated all through the Dome Vidal28 1 Quote

Because I like having one band take up the entire screen. On my computer, so two full screens, and I can jump around to the forums in between. Quote

LKendrick Posted October 21, 2017 Posted October 21, 2017 Sioux Falls Lincoln!!! WOW! That was a BLAST here in the dome, and the crowd just ate it up! I would be shocked to not see that again tonight. Fantastic and fun show. Quote
Astros Posted October 21, 2017 Posted October 21, 2017 Broken Arrow Pride is from another planet. 1st time I ever saw them live. Just incredible Quote

LostChoirGuy Posted October 21, 2017 Posted October 21, 2017 Wow. Too bad for Cy Falls, but of course it is to be expected with all the devastation that Harvey caused down there. Congrats to Westwood for making finals, though! RenMacnary 1 Quote

Hard Core Band Fan Posted October 21, 2017 Posted October 21, 2017 Congratulations to Westwood! Top half as well! Quote
principalagent Posted October 21, 2017 Posted October 21, 2017 Westwood in the top 7 is an amazing jump for their program! I don’t think they’ll make San Antonio finals, but they’ll be closer than they’ve ever been, I’ll bet! Quote
Hard Core Band Fan Posted October 22, 2017 Posted October 22, 2017 Lincoln may not be the best band in the finals, but I really like their show. I like their energy, attitude, and the way they just let it rip and give it everything. LKendrick 1 Quote
LeanderMomma Posted October 22, 2017 Posted October 22, 2017 Oh my goodness, Bentonville just blows me away! So glad they got the world to fully inflate for finals. Man that was good! JeremiahW 1 Quote

While I don't like the repeat, that doesn't take away from their technical brilliance. They perform at a high level that few high school bands can compete with, and no one at this contest (Blue Springs is probably the closest to them). I look forward to seeing them at Indy. Wild Blue Orchid in 2015 was the clear winner that year in my view. Quote

Wild Blue Orchid in 2015 was the clear winner that year in my view. I still don't have words for my reaction to seeing them for the first time ever at a BOA event. YouTube can't do them justice. Heck I'm sure Flo Marching didn't either. I can't imagine seeing them live. Here is the best way I can think to describe how I felt at the end of their show. I watch Vandy and Ronald Reagan and I say to myself, "wow, they're really good. But so is CTJ and Leander." I watched Carmel and Avon tonight and was impressed; my thought was that they are fantastic, but so is Flowermound and Hebron. Then I saw Broken Arrow and I had no thoughts at all. It was nothing but awe and emotion. I felt like I had witnessed brilliance on a scale I had never before witnessed in a high school band. Perhaps it was simply because they are the only one of the top bands that I've never seen in competition before tonight. Perhaps it was just an emotionally raw response to something in their performance. I'm sure many would say that I am overstating how incredible they are. I don't care. That was the best darn band I've ever seen in my entire life. Quote
