herbaflerb Posted September 19, 2017 Posted September 19, 2017 This looks like a good contest. Round Rock will do very well haha. Almost an ill fitting contest for them to go to. Quote

It's not their fault groups like Bowie, Cedar Park, and Hendrickson that could provide competition stopped going. Quote
George Blackwell Posted September 20, 2017 Author Posted September 20, 2017 I think the top 3 are def RR, DRPS, O'Connor. But the rest is kinda in for grabs. There is some great bands that I'm exited to see though Quote
vbassoon Posted September 24, 2017 Posted September 24, 2017 I see the 3 recent state bands at the top. Finals will be very exciting to see. Quote
zvchy Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 I can see Hutto doing very well this weekend. Quote
Alrightythen Posted October 12, 2017 Posted October 12, 2017 Round Rock, dripping springs, and United are the most recent UIL state bands. Definitely could be the top 3 for this competition Quote

Top 3 for this year in my opinion is Round Rock, Dripping Springs, and O'Connor. While McCallum might surprise me, I think O'Connor has more creative shows. Y'all remember in 2015 when they did their Access Denied show? Creative stuff right there. Also, do y'all feel like Westlake puts the projected winner of each class at the end? They did this two years ago with Hendrickson at the end... ah, must just be going crazy. Quote

I always like a show with a good punch line. Quote

Looks like Gonzales and United dropped out of the competition is all. Edit: After looking again, I see the word "Laredo" in front of United. So obviously I was wrong. Hey, even I can admit that every now and then! Quote

Alrightythen Posted October 15, 2017 Posted October 15, 2017 United really surprised me. Definitely a great way to represent south Texas. Any show with power and emotion is my favorite. Quote

Chaparral Komeko Posted October 15, 2017 Posted October 15, 2017 Oh man, I completely misread United. Whoops. Yeah they did really well! SDOC had great GE but questionable visuals. I was really impressed with the level of competition of bands this year! Quote
