It's shaping up to be a bloodbath to get into 5A finals this year even with the absence of some LISD schools. You have bands like Pioneer, Rouse, Summit, Lake Ridge, Prosper, Waxahachie, and Georgetown that are really stepping it up.

Lehman is not 5A.

This is solid. I think 1 and 2 are locks and G'town seems like they are having a great step-up year.

Georgetown is awesome this year. 3rd is definitely a solid guess for them.

I agree 100%. I was really impressed with them on Saturday! Just a fabulous show really, and extremely well performed. It was like watching a different school. I hope they end up giving the top tier 5A bands reason to be concerned! :)

Hutto has beaten connally pretty handedly at both competitions they’ve attended together.

That's true as well. They've sorta had a mini break out year so far.

I saw hutto a week and a half ago and if they can clean up there marching and have more contribution musically they will move on for sure. They have a mature sound.

Prosper, Summit and Lake Ridge are in Area B.

I heard that there is still a UIL tomorrow but I don't know how true that is.

Good point!  I'll be patient.

Region 18 goes tonight. There is 11 bands in Region 18, and 24 bands have already recieved 1's in Area D. Possibility for 7 bands to advance if all 11 from region 18 receive 1's, but most likely only 6 will advance this weekend.
