Well the Alamodome has strict rules on what is allowed on the field. They just don't want anything being caught at the top of the dome, it can be hard to get those balloons down if they fly away.

I was under the impression during WGI season that those Bowie Balloms we're just air filled in which case they are 100% legal. If they were helium they would be gainst BOA rules so we would have seen a penalty at Conroe or ATX. My gut tells me they will find no problem at UIL with those.

I was wondering the same thing. Is there a live coverage of UIL State? Are 6A finals going to be in the morning again this year?

Here is what I have gathered:

- Yes, Box5 Media is streaming all of the UIL State Marching Contest.

- 6A Finals is on Tuesday Afternoon.

- I created a Box 5 account just to do a test.  If you click the UIL logo on the front page, it asks you to choose which UIL events you want ($10 for the first event, $8 for each additional event).  After that, you fill out the information below.  When you click Next, it takes you to the payment page which only showed a $10 charge for State Prelims.

I have emailed Box 5 Media for clarification.

I actually got an email from Tim Snyder, the president of Box5 streaming.  Yeah, he and I are big buds evidently.  I mean he emailed ME personally, right?  So anyway, did no one else who subscribed last year not get the email reminder of the Box5 Livestream?  I'm the only special one?    Anyway, Ol' Tim says I can watch my "favorite" session for $10, and any additional session for $8.  Here's the link to subscribe:

That area which includes . Haltom , coppell , Richland , Keller , duncanville , Ld Bell , and many more is going to be insane . But I still think if they take 5 like they did in 2016 it’s going to be

Top 3- Keller , haltom , ld bell (not in order)

4-5 coppell and hopefully Duncanville

This is going to be a crazy year . And those predictions are just based off last year so who knows .. but very exciting!!

Lmao. They did sit in chairs but I will say the sound they produced was breathe taking . Not everything is about moving and playing fast it’s honestlt starting to be more about visual package as well as a power music selection and sound quality. Especially for boa . It’s all about visuals. State uil not as much but that doesn’t stop groups like haltom. They missed out in 2016 . And I have a feeling they are coming back to fight and hopefully make state finals for the first time since like 2004 or 06 . Yikes . We will see

Haltom produced far more power than the other bands around it in placements. CR was great, but it would be a little hard to match that sound Halmtom put out.

Potential state finalists?

Haltom and Round Rock. Round Rock is a little slow this season, but they're definitely what UIL looks for in a state show.

You need to chill out on Haltom we don’t know how much improvement they’re making/made and they got 5th at 2 of their contests so as of right now I don’t have them in state finals and i don’t think a lot of people do

My friend!!  They have to advance TO State before they they can advance to State finals.

We get it...you like Haltom but to just gloss over bands in your own area...good luck with all that!

Man....I'm glad this will all be settled next weekend.
