Hebron's staple has always been "March and Play". Hardest music I've ever heard, and they're marching to it. Astounding.

Vandegrift and Hebron back to back should not be allowed.  It is almost illegal to have two bands who play and move that well within close proximity of each other.

All I can say about Hebron is WOW!!!!  Another band in the hunt for sure.

That wasn’t as clean visually as Vandy, but it was much more difficult and ought to surely be rewarded sufficiently by the judges. Just WOW!

WOW! Hebron, Vandegrift, Coppell, Woodlands, Westlake, Cedar Ridge, Marcus, Hendrickson, James Bowie, Hendrickson, and Leander just blew me away. 

 

Looking forward to seeing my band (Duncanville) put on a great show soon! 

 

I really thought that Vandegrift showed up. Great musical selections. They have an amazing chance to medal. 

 

Coppell today showed that they are ready to hang with the big boys (Marcus, Leander, and Woodlands). I mean their visual is just WOW!

 

Leander never fails to impress me, incredible opener. I look forward to hopefully seeing them in finals. Amazing musical selections!

 

Marcus:  Loved their music as all ways. Their visual may not be what it was under Drinkwater, but it should be enough for them to grab a spot in finals. 

 

My personal favorites: Hebron, Vandegrift, Woodlands, Coppell, Leander.

Yep, after hearing them again, I still feel that Seven Lakes was underscored at BOA SA. It's the only score that I really disagreed with there.

Wow. Watching this show progress through the season, wow. That music is by far the best I've ever heard it. I don't know if this gets them into finals, but they certainly have a chance. Everything comes together so well, the only question is can it compete with the heavy-hitters.

Those of you who have seen Keller live before, I ask you to pay attention to the individual performers this time around. You’ll notice that they put ever ounce of their emotions into their shows, and you can feel it. They sell every little part, and that’s part of what makes them so special to me, not to mention their character off of the field. Definitely one of my favorite programs, alongside FloMo.

Wow. VERY strong brass opener there by North Shore.

First time seeing Coppell ever since 2014. Wow, their brass is very powerful! Especially how powerful their low brass is for such an early time. Blew me away! 

 

Music was great, visuals were MUCH better than when I last saw them. Am I just overhyping this, or are they really that good? I know they had a complete director change recently, but I'm surprised how they're able to still be competitive. 

 

I know they did pretty well in their area, probably the hardest area in the state as well, getting 2nd in prelims and 3rd (I believe?) in finals. They got somewhere around 20th in BOA prelims, not making it. However, surprising it isn't talked about too much here. I'm an alumni of Marcus, and even coming from LISD, I'm surprised how much of a kick they're delivering this year. Finally competing with the big boys! How's everyone else feeling about Coppell, or am I just that one guy? 

 

Found a video of their performance this morning too, pretty good other than some timing errors.

Coppell hasn't missed UIL state finals in ages. I would be more surprised to see them miss than make it.
