You need to be somewhere between the 35's if not the 40's. For my taste, higher seats are better, but not all the way at the top. xxneontreesxx and Band2013 2 Quote

Nebp Posted November 3, 2018 Posted November 3, 2018 I think just as the 2 panel system led to some surprises in finalist I think the final results will hold some surprises now that all 14 are judged by the same panel. That will probably be what determines the use of the system next year. But honestly with 84 bands what could they do? Maybe we see semifinals next year? Quote
Nebp Posted November 3, 2018 Posted November 3, 2018 I have row 10 section 312 right on the 50 bought them off a Cedar Park parent. FloMoParent 1 Quote

Looking forward to some amazing performances tonight. Will be posting a summary of my thoughts after each finalist band. LeanderMomma, 5 te 6, FloMoParent and 1 other 4 Quote
Popular Post PSHSMom Posted November 4, 2018 Popular Post Posted November 4, 2018 Good luck to all of the Finalist! Will be watching from home! Pizza is on the way I only saw a handful of Prelims, but what I saw was fantastic from all of the bands. These kids are absolutely amazing! Parkwoodmom, RebelPercMom and Danpod 3 Quote
bingogooberman Posted November 4, 2018 Posted November 4, 2018 Hope we keep the lady announcer through finals- it's about time. I don't think I've ever been to or watched a competition not announced by a man. How refreshing Quote
LostChoirGuy Posted November 4, 2018 Posted November 4, 2018 I saw somewhere that they had the first female BOA announcer earlier this year. If she does continue then it will be one of the first times to ever have had one, and I think the first super regional with a female announcer. Quote

Nny14 Posted November 4, 2018 Posted November 4, 2018 By the way who was the person who said at the beginning of the season that LD Bell wasn't a San Antonio Finals band? I just wanted to ask them what crow tastes like. Quote

Band2013 Posted November 4, 2018 Posted November 4, 2018 Marcus: Stunning just balanced and reserved not knock you out powerful but pure and elegant. Really fun show great work! L.D. Bell: wow really powerful opening hit felt the stadium shake! this is the L.D. Bell I remember! Quote
LostChoirGuy Posted November 4, 2018 Posted November 4, 2018 The audio seems a bit off on flomarching I think. I can't hear half of the band. Quote
Band2013 Posted November 4, 2018 Posted November 4, 2018 LD Bell also bringing back that famous drill they are known for, fast and precise! Quote

LostChoirGuy Posted November 4, 2018 Posted November 4, 2018 I have this to say- there were a lot of bands that made a strong case for making finals and any one of them would have been a great choice, but Westlake just showed that they were supposed to be here in finals. I love the way their music morphs the Stravinsky and Imogen Heap. Quote
Rackmaster Posted November 4, 2018 Posted November 4, 2018 From a cedar park band student that stayed to watch finals with the rest of CP to cheer on our fellow Texas bands, Westlake, just wow. If you would’ve shown me this video a few week ago and told me that was Westlake this year I would’ve called you a liar, phenomenal work guys, really amazing show. Quote
Band2013 Posted November 4, 2018 Posted November 4, 2018 keller is always putting out shows that are so unique they are well rounded in both visual and musicality, really impressive! love the opener! meursault 1 Quote
TexasHockeyFan Posted November 4, 2018 Posted November 4, 2018 Is it just me... or does anyone else find the Keller Trombone Duet really freakin cool! I loved how together they were even with the glissandos. I loved it!! Band2013 1 Quote
Band2013 Posted November 4, 2018 Posted November 4, 2018 also, color change added a lot of effect, great work Westlake! Quote
