Band2013
westlake: you can never go wrong with the rite of spring, just stunning. westlake isn't going down anytime soon! meursault
LostChoirGuy
I have this to say- there were a lot of bands that made a strong case for making finals and any one of them would have been a great choice, but Westlake just showed that they were supposed to be here in finals. I love the way their music morphs the Stravinsky and Imogen Heap.
Rackmaster
From a cedar park band student that stayed to watch finals with the rest of CP to cheer on our fellow Texas bands, Westlake, just wow. If you would’ve shown me this video a few week ago and told me that was Westlake this year I would’ve called you a liar, phenomenal work guys, really amazing show. LostChoirGuy
Someone knocked on my front door during that performance by Keller and they could see me through the window and I just conpletely ignored them because I was so enthralled. They wouldn't have understood. Just turn up the volume and drown it out haha Txbandfan89
Band2013
Hendrickson: This group has become a force, I hate calling any band a bubble band because it is to the point where we forget that it is different year after year. Hendrickson is a great band they play strong and precise but also are never too afraid to think outside the box with their musical selections. Their themes are always important to think of "Just another brick" and now "blueprints for life". They understand their show and use that understanding in the performance, the better educated the kids our in the meaning of a show the better they perform. well done Hendrickson! also, MLK is a genius and a great role model, think you for spreading his message. I remember when they were that silly band at the Westlake contest with their Dr. Atomic show They've come so far while retaining their identity. I always love watching them. Popular Post Band2013
Cedar Ridge: wow wow wow, as a recently graduated music major I am in aw seriously! This group is the smallest among the finalist yet impacts shakes the dome. Their tonality is mature for a group just 8 years old reminds me of CTJ which was also very young but was so amazing in their first year. They always have such great vocalist that really compliment the group, this is usually hard to find. Simple show with more production could easily see them slide into the top half in the future like I said they may not be on everyone's radar but they deserve a lot of respect well done! also, double and triple tonguing always a must when it comes to middle eastern show themes. Kashmir reminds me of Avon's 2010 show "Iconoclash" love it! Kenneth, meursault and FaultLineBlues
Popular Post principalagent
I know people have feelings about prelims, and I did too, but every band so far has earned being here. Kenneth
Please tell me what that means. I am old I don't really know the origin of the joke, but what they are doing with their hands is a popular meme right now. It's just funny to see drum majors doing that before a show. I loved their show.
BandDad4
I feel like the 60% for GE is to high and more emphasis should be on the music and the marching. This is more like performance art or theatre than marching.

principalagent
TWHS got the perfect draw time and had the right kind of performance to potentially jump the gap tonight. Don’t be surprised if they pull it off. Parkwoodmom
