That was also our best run of the season.

Madison did kill it. Got there just in time to catch your show. Surprised ya'll didn't get more captions.

That must have been a fun competition.

It was so much fun! I loved it. The competition was so stiff.

I didn't get to see Round Rock yesterday. To anyone who did see them, how did they do in Waco? Have they improved much since BOA Austin? How are they looking for BOA San Antonio?

I wasn't there yesterday. I heard they didn't use their props. They also have more to add than what they've already put out there, so I think at this point it's still hard to tell.

Anderson was definitely much improved from last year!

I agree! They might not be as good as they were in 2010-2014 but this was a step in the right direction. I thought their baritone soloist was one of the best solos of the *very short* day.

Wow, you’re kidding?!

Nope! There is definitely not a video of the multicam where you can hear the plastic bag around the mic moving around and then when it hit the ground.

Oh I heard that RR performed their whole show at BOA Austin and that's why it was so dirty.

They did perform their whole show at Austin. I heard they didn't have time to clean. I didn't mean they had more drill to add. They just haven't added all the bells and whistles.

Dripping Springs was just starting to warm up when the announcement came that they were cancelling. The directors checked w/ a couple of other contests, to see if the band could march an exhibition there, but nearly all the other contests had gotten a late start, so didn't have any room. So, the first time the DS band Freshman will march at BOA show will be at St. Louis at the SuperRegional- THAT might be a bit intimidating, but I think the kids are up to it. They were really great Saturday. Had gotten up at early, at band hall by 5:30, then had a rehearsal at Belton, then on to Waco. Back on the buses and back home. What a rotten day.
We had some of the kids over to our home that night to watch the Orlando finals. Some really fine bands there- I'd love to see Tarpon Springs without all the electronics. Their kids play really, really well, don't think they need all that. It was very entertaining, but maybe a little too "3-ring circus" at times.

Hey, you could argue that none of our predictions were wrong?

We should just ask all 9 bands for their scores and use those and see how messed up everyone's points would be.

I can share that the last band to perform was the highest score of the morning. Unfortunately, not even the directors of participating bands know their own scores for specific captions. BOA is incredibly tight lipped.

Really? That's quite interesting to see that they beat a certain other band.

I could reveal my source, but I'm pretty sure my head would end up on a platter. I just wanted to shed a bit of light since everyone was curious.

Also, that band had its own set of issues that day. All sound effects and an entire synth part were missing due to some hinky electronics issue.

According to my highly reputable sources, who I cannot confirm, although they may be the directors of my band program (which I’m not actually a part of), the last band may or may not have received the highest score, but one can’t be sure because BOA isn’t telling directors the scores, but according to my highly reputable source, who I cannot reveal without causing World War 3, this disputed claim is likely fact, although I cannot confirm at this time, but this was according to my sources, who are highly reputable, apparently, according to, because I personally believe that U.S. Americans are unable to do so because, uh, some, uh, people out there in our nation don't have maps and, uh, I believe that our education like such as in South Africa and, uh, the Iraq, everywhere like such as, and, I believe that they should, our education over here in the U.S. should help the U.S., uh, or, uh, should help South Africa and should help the Iraq and the Asian countries, so we will be able to build up our future.
