RealSkipBayless
Hebron is a lock for 1st imo, it really shouldn’t be a debate. 2nd and 3rd place could either be Flomo/ Keller, and from there on (in no order) Cedar Park, LD bell, Timber Creek, Waxahachie, Coppell, Central, and Wylie. Wylie is slept on big time, they made the top 3 at BOA West Texas along with Coppell and Timber Creek. nolifeband

Xenon
Whoa! They revamped the parking lots so there isn't an awkward huge curb going up into them anymore!

LKendrick
Cool to see so many bands venturing into BOA for the first time! Heard that at Midland a few times and now Poteet as well.
Majellan
Agree! Despite the actions of some of their fans on this forum, I know that the directors at Keller preach the same message.   Okay, this is bs, we all know this. Every band cares where they place no matter what level band they are. Band members are taught to be respectful but talk like this is a shallow platitude at best.  There was a year back in the 2000's where BOA decided to not place a winner and didn't post scores at first. That changed quickly because of the uproar.  I've been in small and big bands and we all very much cared where we placed even if we were way down on the list.  Otherwise the review is totally useless, that's 30 minutes of caring where bands place. LeanderMomma
I missed my flight to dallas last night. Â They were able to book me on the earliest flight this morning, so I should get to the stadium right before that second block begins. Boo! Hope you made it safely there. ValveOil
Aledo sounds pretty good! Unique show to say the least, very interesting use of a voiceover.
Popular Post LostChoirGuy
I think its not that the band kids shouldn't care about how they place at all. I think it's more that they shouldn't get so focused on how others are doing that they lose sight of the things they are trying to accomplish themselves. Competition is healthy, but there needs to be an element of personal growth for each band first and foremost. littlejaw
Planning on catching finals if the rain holds off. Won’t be there in the morning because it’s Texas-OU weekend!  With Danpod and HornRank here I won’t do any running commentary like last week. I’ll just get to enjoy the phenomal bands of Texas and Oklahoma.  Predictions guess (and it is just that, a guess): 1. Hebron 2. Flower Mound 3. Keller 4. Cedar Park 5. LD Bell 6. Timber Creek 7. Prosper 8. Coppell 9. Union 10. Waxahachie  My next pick to make finals is Wakeland.  I’m also really curious how Duncanville does, they’ve had a stylistic change and the band may start to show excellence outside of just the UIL sector. LeanderMomma
If anyone there gets hungry for TexMex today, there’s a great little restaurant in the plaza directly across the street from Pennington field. You might even be able to see it from the stadium on your left.  Wish I was there!!
LKendrick
Keller Centrals show is clever and pretty hilarious. They're always a very unique voice design wise, love it.  Bandwoww

LostChoirGuy
I was about to say the same thing Landry. Keller central was one of my favorites last year because I liked the way they designed their show and they did it again this year. I like that they take things outside of the box. Their drill design is just so aesthetically pleasing in the way it morphs across the field. Music was interesting to say the least.

LeanderMomma
How was LD Bell? They seem much improved from the first video I saw of them a month ago. Actually loved the bagpipes this time around. I’m sure it was great live from the stadium.
LostChoirGuy
Someone who is better with technical critiques will have to answer you, but I thought LD Bell did a beautiful job. I really enjoyed their show and think they will do very well here. I had heard that they weren't as strong this year, but I didn't see it.

Hard Core Band Fan
Ambitious musical program for Waxahachie. They have a ways to go yet, but I applaud their effort. I have always wanted to hear the Nelhybel on the field. Hard enough to play sitting down.

Hard Core Band Fan
Didn't care for Flower Mound's show. Being weird to just be weird is not enjoyable to me. The "outside of the box" experience from them is getting old. Give me something like their 2016 show any day. Maybe I will like it better after I see it a few more times. Maybe. brassclass
