From the late 1980's until the early 2000's Westfield was a killer band and one of my favorites of all time. It's a very different program today.

That is largely due to the demographic of the neighborhood now. However, they still are in a MUCH better place than they were from 13-16.

Seven Lakes sure didn't disappoint.  I really loved their show!  So colorful and vibrant, yet dark!  And their sound is great!  Definitely should medal today.

My stream cut out right in the middle though. :(

Does anyone else get errors sometimes where it says that the stream is already being used on another device when you know for a fact it isn't?  Or is FloMarching just really unsecured and my account is being compromised?

I've had that happen to me a few times today, but I've been lucky enough to not have had it happen in the middle of any of the shows I'm watching

Yes, had that several times today. I noticed that it would happen while I was watching from my PC and I was using my phone and something linked to the FLO site.

I got to tune into the live stream for a few bands and I’m truly impressed. I’m so glad that BOA does McAllen and Mindland. It’s awesome to see some bands that I don’t normally get to see because of the promixity of these bands to other contests and crowding of probably the most Central contest—San Antonio. I’ll talk about a few.

I love United! They were such a pleasant surprise at SA last year and they were great to watch this year. I’m sure this will be in finals tonight.

Seven Lakes really left me wanting more! It’s awesome to see them developing into such a fine band. Hoping to see them in Conroe finals this year!

Westfield surprised me! They’ve had a rough time these past (several) years. I believe the program shrank substantially after the retirement of a very prominent director, but it looks like they’re growing. They’ve step it up in terms design and I could see them really stepping up to the plate and returning to, at least, regional prominence.

Cannot wait to watch finals tonight!

Yes, I know and I wasn't being mean or anything like that. I've being doing this for a long time and I knew it just wasn't likely to happen today.

I understand. You gotta feel for those kids. I feel like they went into today with the mindset that this would be their big comback into the BOA world and it just didnt workout as planned.

Is that implying that San Benito was top 5? I didnt see them, but that's a huge surprise.

Yes.  The first five to go in on Finals are Prelims 10th - 6th Place IN RANDOM ORDER.  The last five to go on in Finals are Prelims 5th - 1st Place IN RANDOM ORDER

Thinking Seven Lakes could dark horse for that visual caption.

Lowkey thinking Seven Lakes could dark horse more than just that.

I definitely enjoyed seven lakes more from a single viewing, but I think CTJ may be one that as I learn more of the subtleties I will enjoy more.

Excellent way to put it! I agree completely.

I caught them and was pleasantly surprised! They’ve participated in the State Marching Contest a few times. Great to see them do so well; I think it’s their first BOA—at least in a while!

But it is just one day at one competition at the beginning of the season. Things can change if the directors and students want it bad enough. Disappointment can be a great motivator!
