bingogooberman Posted May 9, 2018 Posted May 9, 2018 Yes, you’re just crazy, but top half of finals is within grasp for them. I like them a lot, I’m glad they’ve pursued a rigorous BOA schedule these last few years Quote

Win over a quickly rising Timber Creek and a Coppell on the brink of a really great show? Probably not, but after that it's wide open. JhnWstbrk and CTJBandPops 2 Quote
Babar56 Posted May 10, 2018 Posted May 10, 2018 Coppell, Timber Creek and I must add Birdville. Last year was a difficult season for them with a new director coming in late and not really having the time to do what he wanted so I believe they will improve and make a good showing this year. I partial to BISD schools but the district does have excellent programs with Richland, Haltom and Birdville. Quote
ksacm06 Posted May 11, 2018 Posted May 11, 2018 Do you guys think this Regional could be cancelled? Quote

I can’t speak to its future beyond 2018 but there have been regionals in the northeast and southeast with less than the 15 currently signed up here. I highly doubt they would cancel it. I’m hoping more will sign up in the coming weeks. Quote

I would agree - part could be that there was some question about the stadium it would be held in, it is in it's first year, and the season schedule. I am hopeful that this one will grow. there are so many powerful programs a short drive away in DFW and Austin Quote
DRbandDAD Posted May 12, 2018 Posted May 12, 2018 I have no doubt that Del Rio will place top 3 at this BOA. Del Rio will surprise everyone at other BOA's and UIL comp..... lostinspace 1 Quote
Guest Posted May 12, 2018 Posted May 12, 2018 It sounds crazy, but I dont think there's any limit to how high Del Rio can place here. Quote

Excited to see BOA in my neck of the woods, a lot of the programs up here have been improving pretty drastically so I’m hoping we will see quite a few of them in finals. Quote

josephbandfan Posted September 13, 2018 Posted September 13, 2018 I think its possible for Timber Creek to beat Coppell. I haven't seen anything from Timber Creek yet but they did beat Coppell at Boa DFW and San Antonio last year. Im not counting out Coppell but I need to root for my fellow Keller ISD Quote
FEDude Posted September 13, 2018 Posted September 13, 2018 Since it's a State year, that might put Coppell over Timber Creek. If we're just looking at last year though, that puts both bands very close with Timber Creek slightly ahead. Quote
Bandwoww Posted September 13, 2018 Posted September 13, 2018 I think both bands will definitely be better than they were last year, should hopefully be a close competition. Quote

But I think this will be hard (not impossible) for Del Rio to pull off. If TC can build on the momentum of last year and Coppell can bring a complete-ish program to the contest, they will be hard to beat. Quote
