Popular Post principalagent Posted November 7, 2018 Popular Post Posted November 7, 2018 Speaking of the middle school element, all of the high school directors in Leander ISD spend significant - I mean *significant* - time at the middle schools. To the point of teaching regularly scheduled beginner classes. It’s my understanding that the same goes for the big two NEISD schools and in Lewisville ISD. There’s another reason why those districts locked up the top half of both of the past week’s contests. Everything is in place and aligned from the first day of 6th grade. Parents have discussed all this and are frustrated at some of the things we see that could be done or done better but aren't happening. Quote
gmtb617 Posted November 18, 2018 Author Posted November 18, 2018 Region 23/27 (Katy/Cy-Fair) also has less strict All-region band standards than Region 9 (and honestly Austin too, if they haven't lowered the standard since I was there). Sorry to drag on an old conversation, but looking back I’m now curious: what exactly is meant by this statement? What “standards” are “less strict”? Quote

I can only speak for one of the big two NEISD schools - the directors are not teaching any of the classes at the feeder schools. Quote
