principalagent Posted October 13, 2018 Posted October 13, 2018 I heard that at least one of those bands preemptively tried to switch over, so it's not outside of the realm of possibility. Quote

Fwguard17 Posted October 13, 2018 Posted October 13, 2018 For what it’s worth, I’m glad for the kids at CP that they’ll get a performance today. I also think it’s fair that they will be in exhibition. I would feel awful for the first band out if CP took their spot in finals. Well handled by TMC staff! Bravo! Quote
Danpod Posted October 13, 2018 Posted October 13, 2018 I was heading home from Waco and was THIS close to taking the exit off of I-35 to Kelly Reeves Athletic Complex, but I yawned and missed the turn. Quote
Omega Posted October 13, 2018 Posted October 13, 2018 Was anyone able to see CP exhibition? TMC’s Twitter seemed to like it, just wanted to hear from someone who was there as to what we missed out on from Waco. Quote
Dog885 Posted October 14, 2018 Posted October 14, 2018 After we got back from Waco, a few of us went to watch TMC, we only saw Reagan and CP because we watched CP in the lot. We decided not to go to finals because that would mean we would have to wait around for nearly 2 hours for Cedar Ridge. Quote
MikeKyu Posted October 14, 2018 Posted October 14, 2018 Here's a link to the Cedar Park run at TMC. Thanks to the staff and organizers for allowing CP to perform in exhibition. Amazing job by the Cedar Park staff in getting the band out of warm up staging, getting the show arranged, and getting the kids mentally ready to perform in Austin. I saw the scores. It looks like Rouse performed their hearts out. Reagan was impressive. Georgetown was a fun show (how many times do you see a decapitation on the field). youtube . com/watch?v=Eb62L1BFNFU Quote

Guest Posted October 14, 2018 Posted October 14, 2018 MacArthurs performance was heartwarming. A few years ago that program got a 2 and had well under 100 people in the program. They have come very far in a few short years. Quote
beardowny22 Posted October 14, 2018 Posted October 14, 2018 LT got screwed over a lot. They've been told by their directors they got 2nd in prelims ahead of Rouse, and the kids were saying the finals run was their best run by far. Judges also later told us we were on pace to beat Reagan. Gogogo 1 Quote
principalagent Posted October 14, 2018 Posted October 14, 2018 I found it interesting that there was a 15 minute break in finals. If it were not for that break, Lake Travis would have been scored. Quote

Why would a judge comment on any group’s potential to rise or sink in finals and specifically name another band they can pass? I’m not sure on that. But, the 15 minute break and them not finishing, that’s a tough one. Rough season for a lot of kids. Quote
