Percmom21 Posted October 23, 2018 Posted October 23, 2018 Aww man I was waiting to see what you had to say about Richland. Are you going to write on them? Quote
BandFriendzz Posted October 23, 2018 Posted October 23, 2018 Richland - like the color scheme A lot of blue Brass sound great and I love the jazzy aspect of the show Great sounds during ballad Closer was definitely weaker throughout and I feel like once again I can tell where the rain has affected them . Great performance and I can’t wait to see them Saturday Percmom21 1 Quote

TXMarchingMadness87654 Posted October 23, 2018 Posted October 23, 2018 Argh. I'm not the best on my phone with this. lol I was going to say, my vote is: 1) Haltom 2) Bell 3) Coppell 4) Trinity 5) Richland 6) Carroll So not too different. Thought the bands did great tonight, esp considering all the rain interruptions. I'd also say that Haltom's practice at the dome last night really helped them along. So glad they got to do that. Though that is good; it spices up the competition. The improvement they’ve made musically and visually shocked me so much and their tone quality just wow with weather i expected it to be a little iffy but nope their sound is just flat out amazing!........the competition between them and Bell will be fierce I think I’m definitely going to area B Quote

Danpod Posted October 23, 2018 Posted October 23, 2018 https://www.texasmusicforms.com/marchrptuilpublic.asp This is where every Region posts their results. It's a fantastic resource. If you ever get the chance, check out how diverse this State is! Tons of small schools all over the place! Quote

AbcBand2019 Posted October 23, 2018 Posted October 23, 2018 I can’t wait to see how shaken up Area B will get. There are way too many great bands and all of them are good enough to make the top 5. Quote
Danpod Posted October 23, 2018 Posted October 23, 2018 We should have a schedule up tonight after Region 30 officially concludes. I will post it in the Area Schedules thread pinned at the top of this forum board Quote
Sparks Posted October 23, 2018 Posted October 23, 2018 As a former Marcus parent, I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I might be in Birdville on Saturday. This is going to be close. When will we know the schedule be posted? Wow! Is TX Bands going to be there? Quote
Popular Post bandit Posted October 23, 2018 Popular Post Posted October 23, 2018 I don’t know whether to buy into the Haltom hype of today or whether it’s just hype. See, that’s the problem with folks promoting their own program constantly- it results in a feeling of skepticism when someone might actually suggest they’re good. I guess we will find out on Saturday. meursault, FaultLineBlues and principalagent 3 Quote

AbcBand2019 Posted October 23, 2018 Posted October 23, 2018 I concur, Keller is a definite lock in my eyes. Most other bands seem to have inconsistencies probably caused by the rain. The groups who really continued to work hard and work around the rain will be the ones to prevail on Saturday. Quote

Remember, Duncanville and Coppell beat Keller at 2016 Area Prelims. I honestly don’t think anyone is totally safe. At this point, they’ve got to put it all out there. Sadly some very good bands are going to be very disappointed. Edited to add, I’m not saying past performance is a determining factor but just reminding folks that anything is possible meursault 1 Quote
