It started pouring during the 4th quarter of the Leander vs Cedar Ridge game tonight. We got to see Leander at half time, but it was Cedar Ridge’s homecoming so they weren’t scheduled to perform their show until after the game. We ended up leaving due to the heavy rain that started halfway through the 4th quarter. :/. So bummed to miss their show!

At our game at Hays last night, there was lightning 10 miles away from the stadium right as we're about to play our show so we had to pack up the equipment, evacuate inside for 30-45 minutes, and then continue the game without playing our show.

Vista Ridge show at halftime was great. Henny was scheduled to play post game. Around 2 minute warning game suspended because of lightning. We were all soaked and were going to put the show on the field anyway.

Delay after delay. Packed it up and headed home. 1 public show for this season.

Sorry Daniel, Austin needs to be dry and sunny.

It’s weird but Leander has been able to march every single football game since the end of August. The rain either holds off til we’re done, or it skirts right around us. Last week, it literally poured out on the street and over the high school, but only sprinkled a bit in Bible Stadium. It’s been a little bizarre! But we’re grateful!!

Well, that could be good news or bad news. We're at Bible next Friday with Leander.

So either your good fortune will allow us a second public performance, our luck will cause grief. Hoping for the former

Plano East game was rescheduled to today at 10:30 am.   Not sure if the band will be attending.  Still raining, but the lightening has subsided at least.

They are playing in the new McKinney stadium,  guess we will see how well the drainage is for that field after 7 inches of rain in the last 24 hours

Plano West was rescheduled to tonight.   We saw their band truck driving home (or maybe it was rowing home!)  from dinnr last night. My coworker is part of the equipment crew and she says she has spent the last 3 Fridays sitting in the parking lot waiting on lighting delays, only to just pick up and go home with no show, LOL.

Plano Senior actually moved their game from Friday to Thursday and actually got a perfomance in, although even thursday they had a long lightning delay.

But I got to see their new uniforms and they look pretty nice!  (YouTube Plano Senior Band - Kokopelli Dances).

There is rain in the forecast all week, including next Friday again.   PESH plays Prosper next weekend and I would love to be able to go  to

that game to get a peek at both of their shows!

There were a ton of flash flood alerts yesterday. Apparently a man died near UTArlington last night and my friend told me he was swept into a creek and drowned.

It was really bad last night. I heard about the man, very sad. Some really bad flooding in areas.

I don't think any of the LISD (Lewisville) bands have been able to perform at the games.  I know Flower Mound HS hasn't.

That's rough!  I feel for the bands who have not yet had a chance to show off their stuff.  Leander has been fortunate and managed (SOMEHOW!) to perform at every single game so far this season.  The rain just seems to hold off until we're done, or it skirts right around us.

I can't wait to see what the "other" LISD bands are doing this year!!!

Richland has had two football games canceled due to lighting/rain delays and on stadium practice we could use the props due to rain. Last week we had a delay but finally got to perform but without props. This week we travel to Abilene and taking props if able to this would be the first run with props.

Weather's looking all clear here! I was excited to come, but I had some last minute stuff come up :/
