PSHSMom Posted September 29, 2018 Author Posted September 29, 2018 Prosper and PESH both killed it tonight but prospers show was just so alive with the colors I loved it! I didn't get there last night but really wanted to see bith bands. Glad they looked good. Trying to find a video of either band but so far no success! Quote
FaultLineBlues Posted October 20, 2018 Posted October 20, 2018 The light rain during Cedar Ridge v Vista Ridge resulted in a weird halftime to say the least. Cedar Ridge did a bit of their show, with no front or woodwinds, and it went better than one would've expected, quite a few awkward silences due to woodwind features and front ensemble sections, but still alright. Vista Ridge made the completely understandable choice of not performing the show, considering the circumstances. Quote
Samuel Culper Posted October 20, 2018 Posted October 20, 2018 Vista Ridge had planned to perform their show pre-game, but the rain nixed that. They weren't going to perform at halftime as this was also supposed to be middle school band night, which was cancelled. The rain is messing with band kids of all ages. Quote
FloMoParent Posted October 22, 2018 Posted October 22, 2018 I was in the pressbox for Hebron at Flower Mound (great game!) but there was no halftime performance by the bands 5 te 6 1 Quote

It’s definitely been a bit of a downer season because of it. I feel like I’ve hardly seen anyone except the Leander ISD bands! 5 te 6 and FloMoParent 2 Quote
Dog885 Posted October 22, 2018 Posted October 22, 2018 So all this rain has caused a bit of an issue here in Austin. There's too much sediment in the water source that the treatment plants can't process it all fast enough, so now we can't drink faucet water. Quote

I have been scrambling all day to secure bottled water by the truckloads for my facilities in Austin. Boil order could last a while. the rain volume there has been amazing and there appears to be more on the way. The rain has been a huge impact this year. if we can stay dry through the Area events, the rest will be in the dome Quote
PSHSMom Posted October 22, 2018 Author Posted October 22, 2018 I truly pray things get better for you down in the Austin area. We've had a little break over the weekend in the DFW area. Hate to see all that flooding down there on the news. LeanderMomma 1 Quote

Hate to see all that flooding down there on the news. Thank you for those prayers! Its been something else around here. Yesterday was beautiful but the grey skies and impending rain are back. The boil notice is really just a precaution though the media would have you believe we all are dying of dysentery down here. Leander and Cedar Park are safe for now, but the Vandegrift area is also on boil notice. We are ready for an end to this mess for sure! Saturday is looking beautiful however. Quote

Good thing, we only live an hour away. Praying this will be a very short boil period. LeanderMomma 1 Quote
