bandboosterdad Posted October 17, 2018 Posted October 17, 2018 Good luck to everyone competing this Saturday in Port Neches. Praying the rain stays away! Quote
J-Mike16 Posted October 17, 2018 Posted October 17, 2018 Thanks! May I ask what band your kid and or kids are in? Quote
J-Mike16 Posted October 17, 2018 Posted October 17, 2018 Oh thats cool. Yall are our biggest competitor in this region. I'm from Lumberton btw. Quote
bandboosterdad Posted October 21, 2018 Author Posted October 21, 2018 Congratulations to Lumberton, Bridge City, and LCM on making 1's today!!! Looking forward to seeing everyone next week in Longview! Quote
J-Mike16 Posted October 21, 2018 Posted October 21, 2018 Thanks! CONGRATULATIONS TO YALL AND WILL SEE YALL NEXT WEEK! Quote
Howdy08 Posted October 22, 2018 Posted October 22, 2018 I was able to attend the Region X Marching Contest for the first time in many years while being back in southeast Texas visiting family. It sure was windy but thankfully the rain held off! Most of the traditional band programs were strong (Nederland, LCM, PNG, etc.). I will say to me, however, Lumberton was hands down the best band at the contest in any classification (I thought Lumberton was a 5A, so I was surprised when i saw them in 4A). I was blown away by their sound and their visuals. I would be surprised if they don’t have a strong run at state. LCM may get to state as well depending on the number of spots. Quote
LeanderMomma Posted October 22, 2018 Posted October 22, 2018 I love that it's called Region X. I don't know why. Quote
ThatDrummerBoi Posted October 28, 2018 Posted October 28, 2018 Looks like 2 bands advanced to state from region 10 this year!! Is there anyway to find out if this is a record for the region? I was so heartbroken for BC... I was really hopping all 3 could make it. Quote
Howdy08 Posted October 28, 2018 Posted October 28, 2018 I wasn’t able to make Area but people I know there said LCM improved significantly from regionals! It looks like LCM and Lumberton ended finals with the same point score. I hope they can both make an appearance in finals at state. Quote
ThatDrummerBoi Posted October 28, 2018 Posted October 28, 2018 I wasn't there either, but from the judging sheet LCM was 2nd in prelims which really supprised me. Also when you look at the prelim sheet it also kinda shows how Paris was able to jump 3 spots. 1 judge gave Paris a 12 which really stuck out. Quote

I know this is 2 years late but wanted to say that 2007 had Anahauc and LCM make it to State from Region X. So, 2007 & 2018 are tied with 2 as far as I know. Quote
