I was at area B and they announced Keller as first. I’m confused at where you got your info because I can’t find any official UIL announcement of Waxahachie as the champion. It seems like UIL made the executive decision to apply that rule to Area last night?

Fair point. I spoke directly with the Director of Music for the UIL. I'm sure that the schools have been contacted directly. The score sheets have Waxahachie at the top of the list with Keller second. I do not know when an official announcement will come down, but I was given permission to clarify the result.

Well what a weird circumstance! Has anything like this happened before? Anyway both bands were absolutely amazing and I hope their success continues in San Antonio!

Can there be co-champions?

Same thing happened in Area E. The results from that contest were delayed to make sure that the correct placement was announced according to the rules.

Glad to see both programs moving on!
