Dog885 Posted September 10, 2019 Posted September 10, 2019 I really like the modular uniforms like Dripping Springs' which give you a nice brand image, but also change every year to enhance the uniforms to fit the show. Quote
LostChoirGuy Posted September 10, 2019 Posted September 10, 2019 I like the band uniforms that look more fancy/ fashionable over militaristic. Round Rock can't be beaten, imo. Nny14 1 Quote
CTJBandPops Posted September 10, 2019 Posted September 10, 2019 It depends, really. I like the idea of bands remaining traditional but it's always nice to see change. Bands like CTJ and FloMo have more theatrical shows than bands like Hebron and Marcus, so it makes sense to change their uniforms to fit the show's theme. CTJ uniforms have the ability to change out parts each year to modify them to accent the theme of the show, but they are also designed to dance/increase body movement - there are some significant differences in the design and function of those uniforms from a traditional band uniform. PSJA must have used the same designer. They chose a grey based with the Maroon bear on them. PSJA is proud of their maroon. I don't care for show tops. But I get why bands do it. Quote
BrewersGrill2319 Posted September 11, 2019 Posted September 11, 2019 I personally love Hebron's uniforms. They may not allow for any extreme movement but in terms of overall style and uniformity, nobody has them beat in my opinion. Nny14 and BanderThanYou 2 Quote

gmtb617 Posted September 11, 2019 Posted September 11, 2019 I personally really like Cy-Fair’s uniforms; they have an excellent blend between design cleanliness and vivid color choices. In particular, their plumes are bright and memorable. Quote
FEDude Posted September 12, 2019 Posted September 12, 2019 For me it's between Reagan and Round Rock. Call me biased, but 2005-2010 Taft had some crazy sweet uniforms. They were red versions of the Cavaliers DBC. Quote
LHSbandDad Posted September 12, 2019 Posted September 12, 2019 My kids have been in Leander band for 12 years and although I liked the sparkly mirrored "L", I absolutely LOVE our current new uniforms. By the way, they are designed with changeable parts (like CTJ) so perhaps that will happen in the next year or two? LeanderMomma 1 Quote

LeanderMomma Posted September 12, 2019 Posted September 12, 2019 Leander uses a dance style uniform? No. It’s not sleeveless. Just interchangeable parts. Quote
CTJBandPops Posted September 12, 2019 Posted September 12, 2019 No. It’s not sleeveless. Just interchangeable parts. trust me when I say there is more to a "dance" uniform than being sleeveless - there are some unique undergarments adjustments that have to be addressed in a dance uniform. the joys of being a parent LeanderMomma 1 Quote

Maybe this Friday night at our first home game in 3 weeks??? Quote
MikeKyu Posted September 25, 2019 Posted September 25, 2019 This is tough. SonI chose 3 that really always pop to my eye on the field. I love Hebron's classic look. Round Rock's uniforms are great, especially for hiding imperfections across the band. Winston Churchill has a good look to me. Quote

DS_marimba14 Posted October 17, 2019 Posted October 17, 2019 Dripping Springs alum here. I really loved our uniforms (grad. '18). I felt they were a great balance between "branding" us but giving flexibility for show design with the interchangeable inserts. We alternated plume colors and shako pieces a couple times too. I believe this year they have decided to go the "dance top" route, like what Vista Ridge had in 2018. CTJ's always have great General Effect, IMO it's neat they change every year. It really allows them to put on a very thematic performance, although, I personally do not think they look great up close. Round Rock also has nice uniforms IMO. I know everybody misses the iconic maroon, but I think the revamped style gives them a more forward and flashier identity. The monotone theme is probably more employable in terms of show design. Of course, these are just my opinions. Every school has their reasons for choosing the uniform style they do, and I do not think the uniform detracts from the overall performance. An Inspirational Pinecone Posted October 17, 2019 Posted October 17, 2019 Now that it's not a secret I'm really liking our new sailor outfits for TWHS. It feels more comfortable than our old uniform and completely changes our show. Quote

ViewFromTheBox Posted October 18, 2019 Posted October 18, 2019 Summit hs has a pretty cool like neon highlighter uniform lol I'm still getting used to seeing them on the field since our colors are blue and black. But I will say that they make the show look so much better than the traditional jackets they use for football game. Quote
