BenedictCucumberpatch Posted November 3, 2019 Posted November 3, 2019 One of the pieces from Round Rock’s show is VERY familiar. I just don’t know what it is. Quote
principalagent Posted November 3, 2019 Posted November 3, 2019 Round Rock is about help Texas grab the outright record for bands from one stand in Grand National Finals. So excited to see them back in finals tonight! Can’t wait to see them Saturday night in two weeks! Quote
LostChoirGuy Posted November 3, 2019 Posted November 3, 2019 That was my first time seeing more than just a few moments of Round Rock all season and I really enjoyed it. I agree with what others said that the kids are almost overperforming what they are given, which is way better than underperforming a too difficult show I guess. Quote
lost Posted November 3, 2019 Posted November 3, 2019 Round Rock showed me we don’t have enough mimes in the marching world Quote
A Testing Trumpet Posted November 3, 2019 Posted November 3, 2019 Solid performance; I thought they sold the show design much better tonight then they did in prelims due to the higher energy. There was a bit more musical dirt then Prelims I think, but otherwise great run. As long as they don't stop here and keep pushing all the way to Grand Nationals, they'll be just fine. Thank you for that performance, RR! Quote
LostChoirGuy Posted November 3, 2019 Posted November 3, 2019 Ugh Flo stopped working right as Pearland started and I missed a whole minute. Quote
Hard Core Band Fan Posted November 3, 2019 Posted November 3, 2019 So glad to see Pearland in the finals for the first time. I've been expecting this from them for years. Glad it finally happened. Beautiful ballad! A Testing Trumpet 1 Quote
principalagent Posted November 3, 2019 Posted November 3, 2019 You could tell this was a new experience for Pearland. Tons of excitement, tons of nervousness. They had the clean run earlier this weekend that they needed two years ago. But now it’s not a new experience for them anymore. Can’t wait to see them help usher in a new era for Houston bands from now on! Hard Core Band Fan and A Testing Trumpet 2 Quote
lost Posted November 3, 2019 Posted November 3, 2019 Any doubters of Pearlands place in finals where proved wrong just now. What a great performance Quote
A Testing Trumpet Posted November 3, 2019 Posted November 3, 2019 Absolutely loved watching Pearland. That closer is so satisfying; congratulations to them! Quote
LostChoirGuy Posted November 3, 2019 Posted November 3, 2019 I would love to see 2+ Houston bands become a regular thing in finals here again. Quote

BenedictCucumberpatch Posted November 3, 2019 Posted November 3, 2019 OH MY GOODNESS THE WOODLANDS JUST ROCKED THE DOME WITH SWING. WHAT A SHOW. Txbandfan89 and A Testing Trumpet 2 Quote
BandFan59 Posted November 3, 2019 Posted November 3, 2019 LOVE the Woodlands show! It may not be the cleanest show, but it is by far the most entertaining I've seen this entire contest! They have so much fun out there and you can really feel it! They can definitely get top half both here and at Grand Nats! Quote
Popular Post Maestrozo Posted November 3, 2019 Popular Post Posted November 3, 2019 The Woodlands is one of the most enjoyable marching programs I’ve ever seen. Bringing a ballet/broadway work to the marching stage, and having HS students execute at such a high level. Wow - I’m blown away. Maestrozo, paulhhs and RHSDirectors 3 Quote
LostChoirGuy Posted November 3, 2019 Posted November 3, 2019 I have the biggest smile on my face right now following that show. I just love it so much. I hope that everyone who has worked on it knows how much it makes the audience happy. And that ending with them waving was so cute! WoodlandsMom4ever and A Testing Trumpet 2 Quote
A Testing Trumpet Posted November 3, 2019 Posted November 3, 2019 The Woodlands had a better run here then Prelims, so much more energy and character. There is a good chance we could see them in the top half of Grand National Finals. paulhhs 1 Quote
paulhhs Posted November 3, 2019 Posted November 3, 2019 Marcus and TWHS are an absolute study in contrast on how to put on excellent shows. It will be interesting to see how they rank against each other. Quote
SpartanBandAlum Posted November 3, 2019 Posted November 3, 2019 I’ve loved The Woodlands all season and tonight does not change that one bit Quote
