Drumlinedan Posted November 1, 2019 Posted November 1, 2019 Vista has bus problems. We have 3 busses that showed up and we are almost 2 hours late on leaving. Quote

Don't worry too much, our busses were stuck in traffic last year and they just moved us into a different block with the same panel. It'll be alright. A Testing Trumpet 1 Quote
Bore15 Posted November 1, 2019 Posted November 1, 2019 Pearland is doing really well this season. They placed second in individual visual performance at BOA Houston, beating the woodlands. They jumped six points from The Friendswood marching festival to BOA Houston- in a week's time. I wouldn't count them out of top twenty just yet! Quote
FloMoParent Posted November 1, 2019 Posted November 1, 2019 I read there was a fatality accident on I35 causing mass delays for those heading south. lost 1 Quote
A Testing Trumpet Posted November 1, 2019 Posted November 1, 2019 Yeah, don't worry too much about it. BOA has historically been exceptionally understanding when it comes to these things. A few years back the competition got delayed pretty hard due to weather, and while unfortunately many bands could not perform in competition; BOA was able to secure an exhibition performance for many of those bands. Moral of the story; don't worry about it. BOA and your school will do everything they can to make sure you get to perform . Quote
FEDude Posted November 1, 2019 Posted November 1, 2019 Oh no! The absolute worst case scenario is y'all driving yourselves down. Hopefully it won't come to that. It happened to my band Area 2014. Difference is that we were much closer to that competition. Hope the bus situation works out. Quote
PSHSMom Posted November 1, 2019 Posted November 1, 2019 Dang, I missed Pearland. I am trying to discretely watch/listen on my phone at work, every now and then I have to work! Quote

I havent seen them yet this year so they slipped my mind when making my predictions, but I probably would have included them if I had been thinking properly. Quote

Samuel Culper Posted November 1, 2019 Posted November 1, 2019 Vista will NOT be performing in their slot. Performance time TBD. Quote

You can't compare non boa events to boa events... and you also can't really compare boa events to each other either considering different judge panels. Quote
LostChoirGuy Posted November 1, 2019 Posted November 1, 2019 Wow! Keller Central! That was phenomenal improvement from what I saw earlier this year and the guard looks sooo good! Majellan and A Testing Trumpet 2 Quote
marimbajack Posted November 1, 2019 Posted November 1, 2019 Wow, Keller Central had I think one of my favorite performances I've seen so far, it was just so much fun, and that sax soloists sounded amazing too! A Testing Trumpet 1 Quote
A Testing Trumpet Posted November 1, 2019 Posted November 1, 2019 Keller Central sure knows how to play. Nice job! Quote

El Gato_01 Posted November 1, 2019 Posted November 1, 2019 Question on flomarching? I just signed up as I saw $12.50/month and figured I'm ok with that and I just can cancel after next month (Similar to ESPN+ streaming service) expect I just got billed $150. Pretty upset as I didn't expect to be getting billed the entire year upfront. IS accurate? Do any of you pay monthly or do all of you pay for the full subscription upfront? *note* I did email customer support about this but I have no idea how long or when they will answer so wanted to get more immediate info from here as it has been like 30 minutes already. Quote
LostChoirGuy Posted November 1, 2019 Posted November 1, 2019 Flo only has a 150/ year option available which is 12.50 a month for 12 months currently. However, I emailed customer support a few months ago and was able to get their old monthly rate of 30/ month since I only wanted it for 2 months. It took a few days to hear back and they may have only given it to me because I previously had that plan when it was offered. Quote
A Testing Trumpet Posted November 1, 2019 Posted November 1, 2019 The $12.50/mo is the monthly price if you buy 12 months at once, so the $150 sounds about right. I know they have options available to you if you made an accident in purchasing; and they'll probably expand on that in the email you sent. I've just gone for the $29.99 monthly since I only care about the BOA season. You can also get a discount if you cancel your subscription ( I think it's 20%) for your next month too. Quote
