Vista has bus problems. We have 3 busses that showed up and we are almost 2 hours late on leaving.

Oh no! I remember being in that position a few years ago. Hope y'all get down here safe!

Pearland is doing really well this season. They placed second in individual visual performance at BOA Houston, beating the woodlands. They jumped six points from The Friendswood marching festival to BOA Houston- in a week's time. I wouldn't count them out of top twenty just yet!

Yeah, don't worry too much about it. BOA has historically been exceptionally understanding when it comes to these things. A few years back the competition got delayed pretty hard due to weather, and while unfortunately many bands could not perform in competition; BOA was able to secure an exhibition performance for many of those bands.

Moral of the story; don't worry about it. BOA and your school will do everything they can to make sure you get to perform  :) .

Oh no! The absolute worst case scenario is y'all driving yourselves down. Hopefully it won't come to that. It happened to my band Area 2014. Difference is that we were much closer to that competition. Hope the bus situation works out.

You scared me for a moment! I also agree that pearland is in good contention for top 20 and a medal. I havent seen them yet this year so they slipped my mind when making my predictions, but I probably would have included them if I had been thinking properly.

Whew, i thought they did! Someone mentioned Pearland above and I took it that they just performed! They weren't on my schedule until tomorrow! I guess I am not doing very well at multitasking here!

You can't compare non boa events to boa events... and you also can't really compare boa events to each other either considering different judge panels.

By what was seen at TMC they seem to be the size of Rouse last year so maybe they still are AA it seems the band only has about 70 students marching

I'm just catching up so somebody may have already answered, but Weiss is 3A this year. About 170 total on the field. (1900 at the school). This is the first year with seniors.

Edit: 162 today

Question on flomarching? I just signed up as I saw $12.50/month and figured I'm ok with that and I just can cancel after next month (Similar to ESPN+ streaming service) expect I just got billed $150. Pretty upset as I didn't expect to be getting billed the entire year upfront. IS accurate?  Do any of you pay monthly or do all of you pay for the full subscription upfront?

*note* I did email customer support about this but I have no idea how long or when they will answer so wanted to get more immediate info from here as it has been like 30 minutes already.

Flo only has a 150/ year option available which is 12.50 a month for 12 months currently. However, I emailed customer support a few months ago and was able to get their old monthly rate of 30/ month since I only wanted it for 2 months. It took a few days to hear back and they may have only given it to me because I previously had that plan when it was offered.

The $12.50/mo is the monthly price if you buy 12 months at once, so the $150 sounds about right. I know they have options available to you if you made an accident in purchasing; and they'll probably expand on that in the email you sent. I've just gone for the $29.99 monthly since I only care about the BOA season. You can also get a discount if you cancel your subscription ( I think it's 20%) for your next month too.
