Yeah LOL, they have had a great season though and the hype train is real. I still love their show and can't wait to see what havoc they can bring to 5A if they can keep this up and build on it!

What was the general consensus on Poteet’s show? I assumed they’d at least be in finals this year after finishing 5th in ‘17.

Nice to see Aledo and Burleson Centennial in the finals.  We (Granbury) competed against them in several competitions this year, including Area (we placed 5th, missing State by 1 spot).  I can tell you that they both have strong shows, especially Burleson Centennial.  They have been very consistent this year.

North Forney was just happy to go for the first time ever!  Hopefully it will be a good foundation for the next few contests...nothing like only having two high schools in a town and both making it to the dance!!!

I think those judges had a very very tough job. So many stellar bands. I was prepared for anything last night. And a whole new judging panel today so also prepared for anything today! Kudos to ALL the bands that performed yesterday and best of luck to those that have the privilege of performing again today.

Highland Park’s percussion is so good. In my opinion, they are carrying their band to first place.

I've been watching HP all year, and to me it was pretty obvious they were gonna win this thing

They are my son's friendly arch-nemesis.  North Forney percussion came in second nationwide last year at WGA finals in Dayton...

Btw, the legendary Philip Geiger, former Westfield band director) was a judge yesterday. Amanda Drinkwater is one of the judges tonight. Should interesting, very different style preferences there.

Class winners would just be placements.  And out of place as the purpose of class winners in BoA is to recognize that the contest is a mix of classes.

I was going to include them in my predictions but I made them at 1:00 am after SA, so I guess it’s fair to say I was very out of it groggy and forgetful. It’s a shame because I’d have had them very high.
