truisticprince Posted November 6, 2018 Posted November 6, 2018 https://twitter.com/sbecht03/status/1059606780660072450?s=19 So the keller kids decided to do this before there run in 6a state prelims. This made me wonder how often and to what extent this occurs. Quote
Popular Post 1998-2018 Posted November 6, 2018 Popular Post Posted November 6, 2018 We have seen the kids from Ronald Reagan and Claudia Taylor Johnson seriously celebrate each other's success. CTJ is also a spin off like Timber Creek. Flower Mound, Hebron, and Marcus all show similar support for each other. Frankly, Flower Mound parents are the gold standard when it comes to appreciation of every other program so that helps explain where their kids get it. At BOA Grand Nationals and WGI World Championships the #TeamTexas support for all competing groups is significant. It's common to hear the line, "Deep in the heart of Texas", sung and followed by the traditional claps whenever another Texas group enters for competition. LHSbandDad Posted November 6, 2018 Posted November 6, 2018 LISD south definitely does this. The directors all get along and it translates to all the kids in all the programs getting along. There are many social media posts back and forth showing support. At Grand Nats two years ago. Leander and Cedar Park were seen "high fiving" each other before and after performances. Most of the LISD schools sent Drum Majors to SASI the same week so there is a friendly relationship there too. This week Vista, Vandy and Leander are at the same hotel and there have been pictures floating around of them all high fiving each other in the hall ways and extending "good luck" messages. So yes, I would say the "Cross band support" in LISD is excellent. Mash and LeanderMomma 2 Quote
Popular Post Band_dad_of_2 Posted November 6, 2018 Popular Post Posted November 6, 2018 It's my favorite part of marching band....there are no "rivalries". Just look at bands on Twitter...the number of "good luck" and "congratulations" posts between bands is infinite! The world should be more like the marching band community.
