Can’t say I agree. They’d be easily out at Austin, DFW, Houston and San Antonio. Waco might even be a little rough.

I didn't say in medal contention. It was very good. Guessing bottom of the top half or top of the bottom half. Too many issues with this show for medal contention.

I think it's easy to overreact to the first really good band of the day. That and not realizing that there are others to come that are measurably better.

They were absolutely fantastic in person... not sure how that played out over FloMarching, but watching it live they definitely had a great performance.

I think Carmel had a pretty rough run. And I saw a poor marcher lose their shoe. Still a very good performance, but was expecting more from them. Im used to how strong the Texas bands play.

Carmel has an insanely difficulty and nuanced visual production, but the music performance doesn’t match.

I think Vandergrift is gonna take it, considering Reagan isn't going to be there and they beat every other texas band at san antonio

CTJ plays with SO MUCH control! The best musical performance of the day in my opinion. That seemed like a great first run for Team Texas!!!

WOW WOW WOW! Way to go CTJ! What an amazing performance! Such an improvement from 2 weeks ago and this show may actually have become one of my favorites of the season!

CTJ is very crowd pleasing but I’m not sure the judges will be as much of a fan. Great showing for Texas but I think Mason Carmel and Avon were better so far. Thank goodness there’s semis and finals

OMG the improv section between the sax and trombone in Just Can’t Wait to Be King - wow! The musicianship this band has is incredible! I loved every minute! Way to wake the place up, CTJ! Team Texas!
