Fishers was so good! I would not be mad at all to see that in finals. The guard had an excellent run!

Wow, Round Rock! Super run! What a sonorous and controlled ensemble sound and woodwind presence on all those notes is felt throughout. Bravo!

I think they were cleaner than Marion right before them (who also had a really awesome show), and I honestly like their show a lot more than last year. In particular, I like their closer (which I assume they didn’t have at BOA Austin when I saw it last). I’m a sucker for the Saint-Saëns Organ Symphony.

Homestead’s ballad is glorious! Overall, the show hasn’t evolved as much as I though it would throughout the season, but still very worthy of finals.

Got on to say pretty much this. It is definitely not a show that will get stuck in your head, but the music is fascinating and so different from why is typically put on a football field and the ballad is really something else.

Carmel's visual design and performance is gold worthy, but musically I'd take most of Texas over them. Much improvement since BOA Indy.

I still think Carmel will have a very good shot at medaling. Maybe I’m wrong, but the judges seem to love them and I wasn’t totally offended by that music performance. Championship visual all around.

Found myself liking Carmel for the first time this year. Guess it is an acquired taste? Still think it’s musically vulnerable though.

definitely carmel's cleanest run in my opinion. their opener is by far my favorite part.

Park Vista certainly doesn’t have the most demanding show we’ll see, but it’s designed phenomenally and they perform the heck out of it! The vocalist doesn’t really add anything, and I actually dislike the repeated “hallelujah”, but it’ll be interesting to see where they end up.

It's too bad Carmel (and to a lesser extent Park Vista) leaves their soloists exposed waaaaasy too long. That French horn is at (past?) What they can do & unfortunately detracts from the overall performance.

Omg, I LOVE Union’s show! Easily one of my favorites of the year. Awesome music book that is not watered down, great percussion, and awesome guard! I reallllly want to see that again!

That Union show reminded me a lot of a show that Haltom would do. It was probably that opener. Great job Union!

Fascinating grouping of 3 bands here that most project in the 3-7 range. Should be a good direct comparison preview.

I love how William Mason uses Symphonic Metamorphosis in that weird pre-show recording. An awesome design choice for the exposition. These woodwinds are on fire! There’s been talk that this show is even better than Mason ‘16. I personally disagree, but they have made great strides to return to their previous level of greatness. The second half of the show is oddly paced to me, but they really want a spot in the top half here...or maybe even higher...

Mason has a really well designed show and they're executing it at a high level. My only quarrel is in the musical/physical demand (especially in the second half) but I don't think that will keep them out of the top half of finals.
